The Lallantop team is on ground to cover Himachal Pradesh Election 2022. During Election Coverage they visited Himachal District and tasted famous Himachali Dham. Himachali Dham is a meal which is prepared during marriage and other social functions. It has 4-5 different kind of dal and curries which is served along with Rice. Sonal tased all the dishes and talked to the cook who prepared this. He explained how it is made. One must try this famous Himachali Dish if they visit Himachal. Hum to bilaspur k he rehne wale hain, jab chutti jate to in bhai k yhan dham pakka khate hain. In earlier days these cuisines used to be cooked during marriage or some other big functions but from last four to five years such outlets hv become popular, so jab icha hue to dham kha lo😀

himachal pardesh has many different dhams at different places for eg. kangri dham , mandyali dham etc.all dhams have one thing is common that it is always serve with rice with different types of daal (lदाल) and daal (lदाल) types are also different at different places. sweet daal (lदाल) means mitha is also serve every time and it has also my varieties according to places.

N one very interesting thing people should know that cooks who make dham wear dhoti n make this bare foot n serve the food themselves .....n it's villagers who cut chop vegetables n do other preparation ....we don't buy milk , buttermilk for dham/function . It's villagers who bring it with them while they come to prepare dham . Traditionally cooked on wood n villagers on one fine day gather n collect all the wood for the family eg if they have cut a tree then whole village will come n carry some wood to the family house. ...this is how this dham even become more interesting more tasty . It's community meal rather than being just a feast
