That was one of the most inspirational talks that was so true it cut to my soul. I have not taken on as much stress as you have nor am I married but everything you said is so true and it is a brutally hard truth to accept. But for some people such as myself it is the only way. Being my own boss keeps me on my toes and on point in the position I need to be in to serve others. I am one of those people who you talked about that tried the other path of messing up in life and not having it all together. There is no other way for me but the path you describe in this video. Thank you for this video. You are one of the most inspirational people I have ever come across in life period

Thanks so much for doing this for people, I'm going to make some videos too eventually, I done carpentry all my life and was working towards getting licensing then helped someone starting a landscape business for a year, saw how much easier licensing was and dealing with customers less plus less unexpected problems then carpentry but you can make about the same money I think.. Either way last year was my soft run, working on clientele after work! This year is hopefully going to be a good launch!!! Also I'm not taking on any employees whatsoever this second year, maybe next year, I can count on me!

@lollandscapedesign19454 жыл бұрын
I stumbled across this video last night by total accident and I’ve been binging your channel since then like it was Game of Thrones or something. 😂 So, I’ve been in business on my own since April of 2019 and I only wish I would’ve found your KZbin stuff a year ago before I learned some of these things the hard, expensive way. My father owned a lawn maintenance business like yours which is one reason why I’m only in landscaping/hardscaping. I hate it and have traumatic memories from my days of child slave labor. Dude, you’re so spot on that it’s sick and you’re extremely humble which makes people feel comfortable and wanna listen to what you have to say. The moment you started talking I knew immediately that this was a guy worth listening to and everything you were preaching was totally legit. There’s a huge difference between someone who is speaking from experience and someone spewing BS when they don’t have a clue. I have a really hard time taking advice from other people because they’re usually men that talk to me like I’m stupid because I guess I’m a chick when in reality I’ve forgotten more than they’ll ever hope to know about this business. They’ll be offering up their basic and sometimes incorrect advice like they’re saving a damsel in distress so I just stare at them, let them talk, smile and say thanks. Then you have the arrogant contractor guys who have made it and forgot where they came from acting like they were born knowing everything. They’re so condescending that I can’t even hear what they’re saying because all I can think about is how bad I wanna punch them in the face. Dad tries to help me with what he can but I’ve went way beyond the scope of mowing and blowing. You really have to be careful who you listen to and sometimes it’s hard to discern which advice to take and which you need to ignore. I remain quite cynical even though I know that I have a lot to learn still but now I am totally stoked that I discovered your videos. You’re a good dude for taking the time to create this channel and share all this valuable information with the rest of us. So, thank you and please keep sharing. You’re gonna save a lot of budding entrepreneurs time and money if they will listen and apply your insight. Oh, and if you’re ever feeling froggy and wanna check out my business page on FB, I’m @LOLLANDSCAPEDESIGN and if you have any constructive criticism, I’ll sure take it.

I've finally reached maturity to go out on my own this year. Among the numerous contractor tip videos, this is one of the best. What an amazing reflection/motivational speech 👌👍 Sometimes when we let out eyes sleep for a second and give attention to these negative sh@#$ts that's happening in your business, we got carried away and when you realize, you've sunk yourself in this pattern of fear and that's because you let that one time for your eyes to sleep away for one second and didn't recognize it to get back up and counter attack them as real algae do.

This man is genuine which is rare these days. I guess with regards to what his articulating in this video is that sometimes depending on the company around you that it could be best to disconnect the fear and just be objective because worry for worry sake is just going to hinder a person to the point where it grinds them down.
