This episode should be called “Harry catches a Fish!🐟” Seriously, any accolades you two receive are well deserved. Your editing and post production are documentary quality. 🎥 And the places you show us; 99 percent of those watching will never get to experience in real life. Still , you inspire us to get out and experience what is around us. Much appreciated.🙏🙏

It's such a joy to watch your vids. From my armchair in California my overlanding alter ego is living vicariously through you, and urging me to follow in the flesh. Almost 30 years ago my wife and I traveled the length and breadth of woundrous Zimbabwe with its largely unspoiled nature and beautiful people, in spite of its tumultuous past.

Harry and Chloe, what a much enjoyed upload.... We haven't commented in a while. Running out of coffee can be a real drag 😮. You got me craving for a good old cottage pie like my grandmother used to make us in Namibia growing up. Well us twoos really enjoyed watching you twoos and have some reminders of those Zimbabwean structures a few decades ago... not built by our African folk as they would tell you. Quite amazing the monolithic type structures.... Well we suppose today the displays of ancient Chinese tea cups and pots have been long gone removed.... Safe travels you blessed young couple! PS: Thaàt feesh... Never caught one in a lifetime, not that a tried all that hard to my dear dad's utter distraught 😅....

So nice to see another video, and I am even first with a (substantial) comment here. I am just loving your African trip so much! I am slowly preparing to sell my current car, and am hoping to get some kind of 4x4 with some of the money I get from it. I am in love with Range Rover Classics, the 2 door variant, but the Defender or even an FJ Cruiser are also options, all depending on what comes up. With 4x4 in hand, I will slowly start to kit it out with cabinets and so on, and perhaps one day, I too, shall be on the road looking for adventure.

Hi Harry and Chloe. In Australia, caravan parks are now so expensive to stay in, that many people are now free camping. Congratulations on finally catching a fish, even if you had to throw it back. The shepherds pie recipe is also a winner.

Congrats on the fish Harry, not sure about Africa, but most times I see people fishing, they use way too heavy fishing line for what they are trying to catch - for lakes and rivers 6 to 10 lbs line is all you need unless your after a monster, same applies to hooks, maybe size 12 to 16 would do in most cases! Happy Hunting

Some countries around the world allow wild camping but many countries in Africa don't. I completely disagree with wild camping in Africa. If you can afford to go overlanding through Africa then you need to budget for staying in campsites each night. Often these campsites are the only source of revenue for the local communities and as much as you may complain about lack of facilities you are still very priviledged to be able to do what you do and there are a multitude of very remote campsites in Africa. If you do decide to wild camp then seek permission of the local chief and give them something for allowing you to stay on their tribal land. If every overlander decided to wild camp it would be a disaster for the environment: fires, rubbish, human waste etc.

As I said we do spend most of our time in campsites which do cost a lot of money for what you get sometimes. I don’t see any problem in seeking an adventure off the beaten track to make you feel totally remote in camping. After all that’s what camping is about. Going out into nature and disconnecting with everything else, for me anyway. Wild camping you get to meet so many fantastic locals. We don’t do it out of disrespect more to seek a bit more of an adventure. Your comment about source of revenue for locals. In our experience it is not local people profiting from campsites. Often expats. Appreciate you taking the time to comment and starting an interesting conversation! As I said I knew people have different opinions on this and that’s ok 😄

Well to add ... This is Africa and unfortunately many do leave behind more than their stoop and poop. Fact is every overlander worth his bollocks (pardon me for being a tad crass), would not leave anything behind apart from probably a bit if coverable ash and well dug away poop. A true overnaturelander leaves only tracks behind! So yeah, the story has two sides. 😊
