Sir, you have been instrumental in helping me learn Spanish. I've always wanted to become fluent but have never felt like someone could explain it to me without getting complicated. Hi Dr Evans, my wife and I are retired and in our 70's. I am severely visually impaired and have been for many years. Whilst we still had our dogs we would not kennel them if we had to go away but took them with us so this limited our travelling. We live in Great Britain and since our last dog died we have travelled to Spain twice and have booked for a further two months this year with plans to travel to Spain at least 3 times a year. I am not one for shouting at people whose first language is not English as some of our fellow Country acquaintances do and then add 'o' to the end of every word. I determined in February that I would learn to speak Spanish. I have been using your youtube channel and podcasts to gain an understanding of the Spanish language. Your channel is excellent for a visually impaired person and your style of teaching is very clear and informative. Thank you for your tuition and when next in Spain I hope to improve my language skills further. Although I am English I do wonder if I will speak with an American accent which is not a problem but something I think would be humorous, Colin.

So in most of trouble maker future verbs , we just flip the last 2 alphabets (er to re ) and in others add "d" before them . That's an easy way to learn them. You are amazing Sir . Blessings from India .

Hi Thessa! That's coming VERY soon when I introduce the present perfect indicative, which I believe is episode 55. We'll be using haber a lot after that in other tenses. It's basically an auxillary verb to say "have" or "has." Example, I have spoken, or she has seen that movie.

The endings are the present conjugations of the verb haber (without the h). It works exactly like in French.

If you look at the future's endings they sound exactly like the verb haber(have) conjugated in the present tense, the h is silent anyway, the reason is that the future was originally formed by adding the verb have as an auxiliary to the infinitive, the vosotros ending was abbreviated hab(éis), later the two parts were merged into one word.
