Could you do a video in the words that are spelled the same but have different emphasis on syllables. For example. Pase accent on the e in the preterite. Pase accent on the a in subjunctive. Fantastic channel.

Started at lesson 1 and now at 58. Its absolutely wild going from knowing 5 spanish words to being able to decipher the gist of conversations and comprehending what ppl are saying. Danny is a great teacher. 😁👌🏻

Are you using only Danny’s KZbin videos for your lessons? I have just started.
@Dan-ji4db2 жыл бұрын
@@AlexIndus Pretty much. I started with the duolingo app but it's really slow going and doesn't really teach you the rules. I started the language tutor videos and learned more in 2 days from that than I did in a 2 weeks from duolingo. The language tutor also has a podcast with practice sessions from each numbered lesson so follow those too. Also get a notebook and take notes, you will need them. Good luck :)

I take private online Spanish lessons with a Mexican tutor but I must say that often your videos make her teachings more clear. I think sometimes her grasp of English is not sufficient to fully explain some concepts. These videos are extremely helpful in understanding. The combination of a native speaker and an English speaker teachers is a powerful combination. Thanks for the great videos.

Indeed, practice in conversation is the best thing you can do when learning a language. I started with the lessons some time ago and right now im close to the end. I’m also learning vocabulary. But if you don’t know how to use the new words in a conversation, there is no progress, even if you now every single word in that language. Im Bulgarian and I live in Madrid for two months now. When I first arrived, I wasn’t confident at all. I could hardly tell a word but two days ago I was able to make conversation for almost 40-50 minutes with a person from my church community who doesn’t speak English at all. I may not speak Spanish perfectly, I make a lot of mistakes, I may not understand everything, but with practice, everything is possible. You just have to find a person who has the patience to speak with you knowing that you don’t speak Spanish well. People in Spain usually are tolerant. With the help of God and a good teacher like Danny Evans, learning a language can be fun and motivating.

Your teaching style has excellent structure, I feel like I just walked in to the most useful and beneficial part of the class every time I tune into one of your videos! Keep up the great work!

I just started learning Spanish a week ago thru your videos and I find them super helpful! The reason why I started is because I am preparing for my Camino trip this coming May. It will be good if there is a lesson on how to book accommodation, as I will need to call and book a bed in the albergues during my trip. This makes me really nervous. Thanks so much for your effort! 😊

I would not agree with the first one. At least what research showed so far. Practicing conversation would not help you much to improve in the language, but listening to another person speaking target language will, if the messages are understandable ofc. Actually that's how immersion functions and how we acquire a language. Children don't practice conversation before they start speaking (one of the examples), though there are many other examples for the statement. I also totally disagree with tips No. 2 and No. 3. Learning grammar is proved to be the most inefficient way of learning foreign language and if you want to improve your literacy you should read not practice writing. I highly recommend you to read some of books of Dr Stephen Krashen (second language acquisition theory). Best regards.
