@@lorrainerichardson3280 I love giving these sorts of gifts. I use baskets or, this year, fabric boxes I'm making. I fill them with crafted items made by me or local makers, food treats, etc. Fun for me and the recipient!

I was too late to get a box😟 Then I went to my friends for Thanksgiving and she has 2 boxes. She hands one to me and keeps one for herself. Her husband comes over with a pocket knife to help open them. I really don’t know what’s going on at all. And then I see it was from the UK. What an extraordinary gift!!! And I had just watched you and John and Anna packing them. I couldn’t believe my eyes. And the contents are beautiful!!

I was on the shop page literally 10 minutes after the availability start time and the boxes were already sold out! I am sooo disappointed but happy for those who were lucky to get one esp for those getting the glass tree ornaments that Kate made! Happy holidays everyone!

I got one, I got one! My first!!! I was right on it watching the clock tick to 2pm. Honest I wasn’t exactly certain I was going to purchase but dove in fast and totally thrilled. The amount of energy you put into visiting all of the makers, the filming it is so great that you share your life with us like this. I have been watching you since 2018 or 19. It all started with wanting to learn more about quilting. Oh Kate... I found your channel about a week ago. I love the Christmas boxes. While viewing your videos I find we have so many things in common. I live on a very small piece of ground but I have my garden, and flowers and of course the weeds. I have taught myself to quilt in the last 5 years. I get better with every quilt. I have 2 daughters and 5 granddaughters. I had my first go at soap making this past fall. I am rambling on, so glad I found your channel. I have 8 hens and a (cayuga) guard duck. What a wonderful way to celebrate a meaningful Christmas. Handmade. Friend made. Exquisite treats by local artisans. It doesn’t get any better than this. Kate, you and your family and friends are what I miss so much about Europe. What Americans probably refer to as “Old World Charm.” To me it is a homey feeling of showing love and affection for those around you, and pride in your creativity and work.. I watched each of the artists’ videos and watched you pack tonight and I know whoever was lucky and managed to get a box will be overjoyed when opening it. The Christmas box is a virtual travel experience. It is like hanging out in a village and picking up a trinket here and there and listening to the artisan before buying their wares. Very creative idea and I think that I will put one together for my friends and family next year and focus on artisans in my area. I found out that my daughter ordered me Kate's box this year. That was a very sweet surprise. Thank you for sharing your community with us Kate.

If nothing else, I have really enjoyed this last weeks videos on preparing the items for the boxes. Due to too much pain, I fell asleep and awoke about 45 minutes after the sale. Of course by then all were SOLD OUT! I think you could make a 1000 boxes Kate and they would sell out in no time. SO happy for those who will get them. I know I would feel like I was 5 years old again on CHRISTmas morning opening one of the boxes. I have really enjoyed watching. I cannot imagine how exhausted you are Kate. Oh glory I opened my door today and low and behold my Christmas Box was on the threshold. I was so excited Northumberland made it to Utah USA. I love it. John’s cards are more lovely in person as is Phillipa’s Christmas tree. The candles smell amazing and the print’s colors are amazing. I've been kicking myself for months over missing the tea towels. This year the Cat Print sealed the deal for me. Yes, I've had a couple hundred year old cats too. The more amazing things that were added, the less likely chance I figured I'd have of getting an order in and then the apron happened! Oh gosh, I missed the boat (so to speak) trying very hard to console myself! for example: I don’t cook - why do I need an apron? I really don’t mail out holiday cards anymore. And I do not burn candles I live alone, I’m scared I’ll forget one is burning and burn my house down. I used to put up four Christmas trees, but this year I’m thinking I might not even put one up. so I guess I don’t need an Christmas ornament either darn it. Oh yeah, I don’t own a Cat. (they do look soft and cuddly though). I really wanted that box I really wanted that Christmas box . it’s adorable. all the stuff is adorable I am a new subscriber, so I now know how quickly I have to jump on it next time. I was going to hang the apron on a hook in the kitchen to Give the appearance that somebody in this house cooks, give the place a homey feel I would think!
