Words cannot describe how relieved I am to see this video, for so many different reasons. I've been playing Hypixel Skyblock for about 3 months now, but I've only recently started trying to connect with the community, mainly the forum and the subreddit, and I'm going to be blunt: The subreddit is way better. People are not only willing to hear what you have to say, but they're actually respectable people by default...Even if I've mainly just posted my art on there so far...But the forums. Oh boy. There's a few people who are kind, and discussing this game with them has been a delight, but the overall chaotic nature of the forums is getting to be a little much. Many prioritize "shitposting" over actually saying something beneficial- But I'm pretty sure quite a few of them are using the label "shitposter" to attempt to excuse them being genuinely mean- and it doesn't matter how much effort is put into a post, or even what the topic is, these people will always remain. Like, to give an example: Today I made a forum post after the Spooky Festival ended prompting discussion on what other users would like to see changed/added to the game. One user replied that it should be removed "because it's May", and he got a ton of replies- but instead of them actually refuting his suggestion, the messages read, and I quote, "no". It started a mini chain of users saying "no" and that was it. It honestly hurt a little bit, because I wanted to have an actual conversation- but I guess not? I still want to make a post where I design a bunch of Halloween related NPCS that could be added to the game, because I want to show my love for this gamemode by offering my ideas through artwork, which is my greatest asset...but man. Saying I was demotivated from doing so by that thread would be an understatement. And the worst part is that some awesome posts that clearly had days of research and effort put into them get the exact same treatment, and I refuse to believe that I'm the only one put off by this. The forums are, as you said, toxic, and this toxicity is most likely turning away so many users in a heartbeat- I'm about to leave myself in favor of the subreddit, because it's clear that most users on the forum won't appreciate what I have to offer, and those that do get buried in the ones that don't. That being said...It makes me incredibly happy that you're standing up for yourself, and that you're bringing attention to this at all. Something needs to be done, because I feel like the community is going to greatly hurt Hypixel's development and image in the long run. Hypixel skyblock has too much potential to be brought down by scammers of all things. So, to wrap it up, thank you. I don't know if any of what I typed above actually makes sense, but if it doesn't, a simple thank you will. I hope your words will bring the change this community needs! Something funny is that I once Reverse scammed someone. I was a new player and someone was trying to do some scam like “oh yeah party me or coop me for a dragon sword” and I was like “a dragon sword sounds cool! Sure!” Then he did some thing where he always left whenever I followed him and made it so I couldn’t join his island and got a few mil in auction and left the coop. And because of that I guess skyboock has a rule that you get some money when you leave a coop so yknow. You can’t make like 10 mil off an auction then have someone else claim it. But the thing is I was new and had less than a 100k so I profited like 80k off of it.

I have lost 20m in items to scammers. I've lost a full strong Dragon set, an aspect of the dragons, 2 runaan's bows (one of which had dh 3) , and 2 treecaps. 5m for the armor, 5m for the aspect of the dragons, 5 m for the dh 3 runaans, 4m for the treecaps and 1m for the other runaans bow. But I never posted anything because I was afraid that no one would care or everyone would just be super toxic. Thank you for spreading awareness and big rip for the 12m.

The toxic responses from the forums is a good example of the love of many growing cold. And suggestion: alongside your charity, you could compile a list of scammers that can be referred to, accessed, searched, and added to/updated as scams are reported and verified to be scams. That way, people can prevent being scammed and make it harder for scammers to scam.

Ace, I found a way to prevent these scams. (I’ve been scammed by one of these b4) in badlion client, which is a gameplay client allowed on hypixel, there is a setting which swaps Roman numerals to numbers. So now, whenever I bid, it says 4 instead of IV.

The reason everyone is upset is because every hour tens of hundreds of people do the same thing you do, maybe even more formally, What do they get? Yelled at and cyber bullied. The people want the same thing you do, to have everyone else know the evildoer and so others don’t y’all down the same trap. Someone once offered to recombobulate and hot potato book my strong armour for free. They said they would have to go, so I said that i could wait until tomorrow, but the guy said they were gonna be gone for weeks, so I said I could wait until, and they said I was being rude so they weren’t going to do it. Hey thanks for being a good guy and exposing this scammer. I also got scammed by this and bid 10 mil and at the time I only had about 20-30 mil. I was really annoyed and so instead of getting revenge I found a player that had gotten scammed and gave him all my coins and armour. It felt really good to give instead of get. Lesson learned here kids - Don’t be in a hurry to bid on auctions, make sure you look at them carefully. Same with trades, check both sides before accepting. Anything that sounds too good to be true probably is. Don’t invite people you don’t know very well into a mid game or later co-op. Most importantly don’t let them invite someone else (chances are they’re gonna kick you).

What if you made an item filter which distributes unwanted items from others that are led into actual chests and the unwanted items are put into an item eradicator, which is basically a system that automatically drops items into a cactus or lava pool and deletes it.
