I played RDR1 for over a year straight when it came out in ‘10. When we finally got to play as John in the epilogues, it was like being reunited with an old friend. During American Venom, I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time and when the music kicked in, I completely lost it. It’s amazing that a video game can have that effect.

The rdr2 one sounds a lot more energetic, because it was when John was younger and dumber! Love it. Then the rdr1 theme has a “I’m done with everyone’s shit” vibe. For when he’s a little older and wiser. God I love these games.

The craziest thing just happened to me! I was eating lunch in the cafeteria with my bros and I could have sworn I heard "American Venom" coming faintly from the kitchen. The John Marston from RDR1 has a dead daughter, a son that doesnt understand, an almost useless ranch, his family is kidnapped and he has to cooperate for the guys that caused the demise of his gang/family.
