This was filmed in the heart of LA hence why so many people there were writing screenplays, so for the barista to be an aspiring actress isn't a shock. That actually doesn't mean anything. Before a show is allowed to shoot they must clear advertising b/c brands don't want to be associated with something that might not represent them well, so producers will always go in ahead of time and cover up t-shirts, hats, computers, etc. with tape to prevent them from being sued or they will later go in and blur everything out. Tape is cheaper.
