Michael is a guy who really understands his good fortune and is genuinely grateful for being able to realize his dream. Years ago, Oprah interviewed him with his Mom in the audience and they talked about how Michael used to sleep with a Bible and he would frequently pray to become a singer. And, of course, his Grandfather deserves a lot of credit, for introducing the Great American Songbook to Michael, encouraging him, taking him to gigs, and always being supportive. The Bublé family seem like great people.

I am sobbing too. Our son has battled cancer for a year and we just got called back to see the Dr, since his last CT...they said they saw something. My heart is aching. I totally identified with Michael when he said that it is too hard to talk about, and when he said he was strong through the surgery and then treatment,..but fell apart as soon as he was doing well. That was SO me!!! And now to think we might be battling it again, or to think there is nothing left to do, is just taking my breath away. Thank you for this uplifting sing song, what beautiful harmony...and thank you Michael for being vulnerable and sharing your story even thought I know it was BRUTAL to share. God's richest blessing on your family.

The warmest and most engaged celebrity I ever met, and I interviewed many. There were only 3 journalists for the interview at a Jakarta hotel, and we were given a briefing by his no-nonsense road manager -- at 10 minutes, your time is up and I'll let you know with a circling motion; no requests for any selfie or wefie stuff, etc. I was nervous when I went in, and opened my questions with, "So, how's it feel to be in Asia for the first time?" Michael looked at me, and said, "I've been in Asia lots of times, it's my first time in Indonesia - way to go to start an interview, keeping it loose!" I was mortified, and he immediately made me feel comfortable by offering me some of his water, asking me where I was from, etc. I asked him about discussing the other side of celebrity, the intrusions and that he had discussed depression, and he was thoughtful in his answers, talking about living in the moment. I went to ask another question, and saw the manager doing her sign, and went to wrap it up. "No, I'm fine with this, I'm enjoying it," he said. When we finished, we had an agreement to get one or two quick shots with our photographer for a cover photo; Michael opened his pants to tuck in his shirt and asked me about my background and how come I had come to Indonesia. We got the shot, and then he turned to me and said, "You want a photo with me?" Quick as a flash, the manager chimed in, I'll take it, but Michael said, "Let me do it", taking my phone and snapping the photo I finished up, went to get a drink in the coffee shop and wrote the opening to the story. As I was leaving through the lobby, I saw Michael walking with his wife; he stopped, winked at me and said, "see you later at the concert". What a performance he gave that night; his warmth and goodness and quality of being real came through. By the way, I always assumed he had dark or black hair; he actually has ginger hair!

I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis at 16. Liver failure at 25. Liver cancer at 29. Liver transplant at 30. My mom is my hero. Sure, I have the disease and the struggles, but without her to literally care for me like a newborn after my transplant... I'm tearing up. She went through the heartbreak of seeing her daughter go through hell and she always had a smile and sage wisdom of the gospel at the ready whenever I wanted to give up and quit being a burden on her. Don't discredit yourself, Mr. Buble. Your son may be your hero, but you're probably his. Like my mother is mine. My prayers are with you and your family.

How come no one is talking about how open he was near the end when talking about his family? I don’t know much about Michael so I didn’t know his son had cancer and beat it. The emotion on that man’s face was so overwhelming and yet everyone is talking about Christmas. Okay we get it, Michael Bublé and Christmas goes hand in hand, cool. Yeah we know Christmas is coming, the store I work at had Christmas decorations up on October 1st. We get it. Can we talk about how, despite him saying how hard it was to talk about, he openly talked about what he and his wife went through when they thought their baby was going to die?

It was all over the news when his son was diagnosed. Michael took a long break from everything / stopped touring and recording to be with his son while he was being treated. He's talked about it before and I believe it's been over a year and maybe closer to two since they went through all this.

Oh man, when he started talking about his son the tears just came. When you're told your child might not survive something, that NEVER leaves you. You go on and happy moments return, but there's a heartache in knowing how close you were to not having those moments. My baby was born at 24 weeks and we spent months in the hospital, living minute to minute at times, never knowing if she'd make it to the next day. But out of the whole experience, I feel there's a lesson in appreciation and patience that has made me a better parent.

I’M A WRECK. When he said that he just “fell” and his wife picks him up now... such vulnerability. As humans we’re strong when we need to be, but when the worst is over that’s when the reality of the situation really sinks in. Noah is a total superhero, he kicked cancer’s ass, but you can see that Michael is broken by it. Even when you survive, it leaves pain and hurt and anger and hell in it’s wake. But we will always fight!!! This campaign is so important, if you haven’t donated yet please do!! #standuptocancer #SU2C #fuckyoucancer
