I HAVE A ROM- COM IDEA FOR BATISTA!!!! Batista is a very popular tv show host who finds people love but he himself could never find love. But his high school sweet heart was always the one that got away from him and they reconnect some how. Maybe he is on vacation and he bumps into her or something. Also since he is super famous everybody bothers him in funny ways but the high school sweet heart was like in some remote part of the world saving some endangered species so she doesn’t know he is famous. Meet Cute Idea - Love interest is a shop owner in the city Dave is a retiring fireman in. Somehow we send him into her shop as a gag that his fireman brothers are playing on him as retirement day approaches - and we create some sparks during this shop interaction. When we need a moment of drama later on maybe there is a fire at the shop after there has already been romance and so we have a tension filled fire truck ride - but only wide shots of the other people as well, not turning it into close shot action movie stuff - gotta resist the temptation. Maybe just holding hands with the firefighters next to him cause they all know they are going to his girls shop and hoping for the best. Give us emotion and drama without any "Dave does this stunt or that stunt" that will take us out of rom-com world. I can't see the love interest yet - someone believable - but I can start building the profile. Billie Eilish - clearly no. Jen Aniston? Keep her on the table. Helen Mirren? Great street cred but not believable. Kate Hudson? On the table. Now even in this video I could see Jenny Slate working - in the Ryan Gosling Emma Stone way - even a scene where Dave shows off his body (tastefully) I can just hear Jenny's voice "Oh no way. No fucking way. I mean yes - yes to all that, jesus. But come on - fuck you man."
