Because Tyler miller played insane and we rested most of our starters for the concaf champions league against chivas Guadalajara. LA FC were completely smashed and got lucky. They're game against real salt lake though... I've give them full props for that.

Football has nothing to do with feet. It’s called football because it takes place on foot rather than horse. Soccer comes from “Association Football” which is the origin of the game. The kids at Eton/Harrow called in “Assoc". When those kids graduated to Oxford and Cambridge, they added -er and it eventually became “Soccer.” Soccer actually precedes the term “football” by decades. The origins of the word happen to be incredibly British unbeknownst to actual British people.
