The dry soil example is also like a dried up sponge. When you run water over it lots run off compared to a damp sponge that just soaks water right up. This is the example they use in the skin care world. Moisturized skin soaks up additional products much easier. 💜

Hi there, I must say you do not have the amount of subscribers that you deserve to have. I honestly learn a lot from watching your videos, they are funny and educational. A few years ago I followed some of your instructions and got my lawn to being the best looking lawn on my street, ( not bragging ) but then my lawn mower stopped working and my husband got a friend to come and mow the lawn for us and I guess he put it on the lowest setting and seriously killed the grass! It has never looked the same since then, so I'm back.

My hard lesson with disease was too much fert going into the HOT muggy season(Kansas) and no disease preventatives.. I had a nice lawn with a lot of melt off damage last year. Learned my lesson.. apply Prevent at the transition of spring to summer and DO NOT use powerful Fertilizers from that point on until Fall... seems to be working.
@Synthetech2 жыл бұрын
@@Efemedio1 I'm near Kansas City. I think I was actually FEEDING the fungi/disease with the muggy season Fert app. Combined with too late of a disease treatment I lost a lot of good grass... by the time you really notice it killing off the grass, it's too late! This year I used Eagle 20EW in a spray app and Scott's DiseaseX in a spreader app... the two chem's Alan mentioned I believe. Right around the 1st of May for the 1st Spray App then a few weeks later for the 2nd spray app and the Scott's spread app. NO FERT past the First of May.. I may try using Milo next year since it's slow release compared to the Hi nitro stuff I was using. Yea that meltoff just made me cry.. I had to spend $$$ to get it raked out and reseeded last fall.. did not have time to do it myself!

If you want to remove ANY type of stain and even OIL from vehicles the best stuff is, "Prosoco". It's a commercial chemical that turns into a puddie. You pour on the spot, self levels. Let sit for couple days. Do not let it get wet. What it does is creates a very high heat and pulls all the moisture, dirt, etc.. from underneath the top layer of the concrete. This is the only stuff that'll work if you're not using a POWER washer, not a pressure washer. 👍 PS, I would probably definitely wear a exhaust mask or whatever they're called when fogging lol..

Happy Father’s Day AH. I love our mosquito fogger. One of my neighbors was going to toss it and I figured out how to light it with a bbq lighter. I drink a beer with both next door neighbors at least once a week for last 18 years. Ever other week we smoke EM out. Unfortunately we haven’t needed this year because we are in a major dry spell. Really works when you do three yards on a cul-de-sac. I’m the lucky one in the middle. We have used the same broken fogger for over 6 years and we cruise through 2-3 gallons a year on about 15,000 square foot. Because I a cheap skate I buy the fogging juice when it goes on clearance at the end of season for about 50% off. Another cool trick with a fogger shoot it in your gutter downspouts and in yard drainage system. Very cool effect watching fog surround the roof and come through the NDS catch basins around the yard😀 Only had to replace propane 2-3 times in 6 years. Now we are all using Hydretain. Awesome early results in super dry houston. I hate those type of iron spots. Try the ZEP toilet bowl cleaner…

Hey just a helpful tip, don't fog. You are kicking out more than mosquitos. If you have flowers that bloom, this is very bad. When removing all the insects that fogs do, you disturb the natural process of pollination. You wont have butterflies and many other insects that actually help your lawn ang garden live healthy. If you just have grass then go for it. Spraying is found to be better, and better than that is the new roller method. It's like a paint roller that you applicate by rolling it onto the desired surface. No mist overspray and direct contact. Definitely research this, you'll see what I'm speaking about. I just wanted to help. I was going to buy a fogger but learned this myself. Ended up not getting the fogger and purchased a trailer sprayer that im going to convert to a roller application

Another great rust stain removing combo is baking soda and hydrogen peroxide…you can spray down the area with a 1:1 mix with water (or full strength) sprinkle the baking soda over top, let sit for a few minutes, then come back and scrub and rinse. Muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) is not good for concrete. It will remove the iron, but it will etch the concrete, too. You can rinse it away, but concrete is porous and it gets absorbed. Since they're bricks, it might not be as big of a concern. Oxalic acid might work for you and it's much more gentle. I've successfully used it to remove iron staining.
