Vic Bandana is literally a piece of cloth, usually worn on the forehead and not on your face. A balaclava is almost a full mask that also covers your neck, in some cases, like a turtleneck. It's used a lot for winter sports, for obvious reasons, and a lot in military games as a mask. Remember that thing every evil thief usually wears to cover their face in videogames and movies? That's a balaclava.
