But her character is meant to be one of the more "realistic" ones, so a giant flying eagle doesn't really make sense. Besides, Overwatch lore belongs to the sci-fi genre rather than magic/fantasy, so everything they design should be explainable in a sci-fi setting.

But I was talking about Pharah, who is basically an upgraded modern-day soldier. A giant eagle projection is still inconsistent with her character.

Of all the things, I'm cool with Mei getting a more *ahem* robust style, as well as the one-handed hair-dryer of doom. It's a shame they didn't make Snowball more prominent besides her Ult, but hey, at least he's there... plus the emotes! I love the lore and development process shown here. Kudos! - *Edit: Might I add, I love the cultural sensitivity and homage Blizz pays to their alternative skins. Amidst PC backlash, I'm glad they stood their ground, as these skins aren't an embodiment, but rather a sort of cultural shoutout to their characters' origins.

Now as I'm getting more into it, and learning the backstory of many of the characters, this game and the characters themselves are so friggin awesome. This is why I love Overwatch. They can show off so many different nationalities and personalities and lifestyles without seeming like they are pandering to any one group. They make it to where a man is not better than a woman, nor is a woman better than a man. Characters can be gay, straight, bi, or whatever, and that doesn't define them. A character who is white is not always the bad guy, and a black/minority is not always the good guy, but not because of their particular race, but because of their actions. More often than not, you aren't even sure if a character is a good or bad person. Basically, they aren't making characters, they are making humans with real histories and real personalities, where they're abilities are defined by their characteristics and their characteristics are defined by their history, and their history is defined by accomplishments, failures, flaws, love, hate, gain, loss, and so much more.
