Good episode with a fantastic ending. Justice does not always win out but here it did!

MeTV should consider dropping EMERGENCY, and instead bring TRAPPER JOHN MD(and also MEDICAL CENTER, another show produced TRAPPER JOHN MD's executive producer, Frank Glicksman) to the lineup.

One on the best episodes of the series! A surprise to see a guest star from a Bonanza episode in this as well.

It’s very strange, that this episode was not shown in Germany in 1989 when the series was shown. This is a very important story and it’s a pity, that it showed the reality! A lot of Nazi criminals could escape the justice and some Doctors which killed people were still working after the war. A shame of the history!

It's not real

@@donavonmacallister3101 The episode isn't real, but it's portraying the reality of some Nazi criminals escaping after WWII, and living a "normal" life. They are still to this day being hunted down all over the world.

Also, watching this again, the reason why it wasn't shown in Germany is because many German people were, and still are, in denial as to what the Nazis did. I've lived in West Germany and what once was West Berlin. In Berlin I worked closely alongside German people and, although I never brought up the subject, they all said that it would take Germany many decades to get over the stigma of what happened all those years ago but, as long as there are till people alive that remember it, it will remain a curse on them for the atrocities which were committed.

This episode reminded me of investigators tracking down nazis to convict them of War crimes back in the late 70's and early 80's.

The ending made me think of a quote by Gene Siskel about Dirty Harry's approach to killers. "Forget rights. This is justice."

Pity about the poor upload of this so important episode. The ending also was disappointing since the bereaved mother will now face trial and punishment. Better he should have been convicted after fighting desperately to escape conviction.

I know what you mean, but I think Trapper would get her a great attorney and she'd probably be hospitalized for being severely emotionally disturbed. No jury would imprison her for life or execute her. Her suffering has been sooo long and horrible, I doubt she would live long anyway.
