This guy wrote an op-ed in Newsweek, stating that his life has been a nightmare since his testimony. He said that Mr. Depp should have issued a statement asking his fans to leave him alone. Dude, seriously? You disparaged, defamed, implied that he got his prescription meds illegally, called him a wife beater, called him narcissistic, diagnosed him by watching pirates movies even though you never met him! Yeah, most people would be happy to jump to your defense! You've got to be kidding me?!?! I love your take on the trial. So glad I found channel! Thanks for this! You're a lovely lady!

One of the jury instructions stated you could disregard testimony not only if you found the witness to be untruthful or not credible but also by their appearance and manner. Dennison gave the jury permission to just X out his entire testimony.

Depp’s lawyer made this guy say that Cluster B personality disorder is a high risk factor for IPV. And as the lawyer remind us later, there is only one person in that courtroom who is diagnosed as having Cluster B personality disorder. That was a Wow! moment for me listening in real time, and so I have no doubt that the jurors noticed that, too. That was the only thing I took away from his ramblings. The lawyer simply left the discrediting up to this expert who was doing it quite well with all the crazy ranting that was impossible for the jurors to follow. His technique is just different to Camille’s. He leaves the conclusion up to the jury, and the conclusion they reach is exactly the one the lawyer wants the jurors to arrive at. After all that ranting, the jurors are probably cursing the lawyer for not being sharp enough to go in for the kill like Camille. Which means, the jurors are ultimately on Depp’s side with regards to this witness.

If you had one of your expert witnesses go that disastrously, how quickly would you pull them from the stand? The last line of questioning is all about ethical violations. The lawyer gets the witness to admit to ethical violations, and to believing that ethics do not apply to him, which I think is sufficient impeachment to ignore anything he has to say.
@bad-people6510
@bad-people6510 2 жыл бұрын
Having watched the entire cross, I have to disagree with your overall conclusion. The witness throughout the cross is so utterly defensive he makes fundamental logical errors, was combative (there was a point where the judge corrected him for that without objection) absurd claims, and insists that he understands the lawyer's questions better than the lawyer himself. As well as outright admitting to ethical violations. He comes off as moronic at best, deceptive as a compromise, and outright psychotic at worst. (And while this perhaps requires more expertise, I've watched reviews from about 15 different psychiatrists explaining the numerous mistakes he made in his own field, really basic stuff too) The lawyer also steered this witness into admitting before the jury that Amber Heard had risk factors for domestic violence. People in the gallery where openly laughing at this witness. Oh, and there was a bit later on where he tried to get cute and sneak in some fact testimony, and was proven wrong about it, and when he was, defended himself by claiming he was deceived. By whom I wonder?

This lawyer comes across like a cat playing with his prey. If you look at all of his other cross examining this was long and drawn out for several reasons. They were ahead of time by almost 15 hrs, they didn’t want Johnny to testify that day and he was letting the witness dig his own hole. The witness was diagnosing JD without a formal evaluation and he even admitted to using facts someone told him. When he mentions the calling JD an “Idiot” it was a mocking question since he started his whole questioning with the APAs ethic annotation of the Goldwater Rule. I watched this whole cross and was honestly laughing, that Dr was very unprofessional and by the things he admitted he could possibly be looking at some sort of reprimand or suspension… But don’t quote me cause you know… hearsay

@@jakestroll6518 yes I agree. He isn't on top of his brief. He appears to be asking his questions without understanding where the series of questions are leading. Camille controlled it better and knew where each of her questions would further her argument and when to change tack if answers were not helping her argument. If I was a juror I'd be really confused by all of this. it needed a summary of what has been asked and what answers were given. Such as 'so you watched Johnny Depp in Pirates movies to diagnose him or look for personality traits? In that case Anthony Hopkins, after watching him in Silence of the Lambs, would be a very dangerous person to ever met, isn't that so?'

UK andUS Trials are held very differently. Dennison is an attorney who questions those that claim they are experts. This clown of a doctor was completely biased. Remember each side was given a certain amount of hours and Judge A made it clear that even if a witness was on the stand, if they ran out of time the questioning would stop. It’s her court and her rules are taken seriously. You need to actually watch the entire interrogation. Everything this clown said applied to AH. I have read that the UK has a severely shitty process. By the way this doctor is in trouble with the APA because of what he testified too. JD’s entire team were excellent. Putting Camille to examine Amber, both women, around the same age was outstanding. All of the lawyers on JD’s team were great. Every expert witness and gold digger on AH’s side were just there to get paid. Please don’t insult this US attorney and take the time to watch the entire Trial. Dennison was asking questions based on what was written in his deposition which as you can see was so ridiculous that of course Dennison is questioning what he said which was nothing but hot air. All of AH’s paid expert witnesses were not credible at all. Dennison’s questions are ridiculous because of Dr. Speigel’s deposition and his stupid answers to questions based on what he said. He made himself look like the fool he really is. No patient he has treated has anything positive to say about him. Go online, find his deposition and perhaps you will fully understand why Dennison proved that he’s a biased joke. I had subscribed but I will immediately unsubscribe because you really don’t have a clue about the US justice system. Take time to listen to the Black belt barrister who fully understands. IPV is intimate partner violence, look that up too.

I respect your opinion and am sure that you are right that a cross-examining lawyer should usually control the flow of testimony more. However, I think in this case, Mr. Dennison had some method in his inquiry that justified his looser style of inquiry. Dennison often reminds me of the character of the police detective Columbo. He asks seemingly innocent questions, lets the witness ramble while exposing their illogic, and then circles back later to damn the witness using their own words. In this case, he got the witness to reveal some very unprofessional methodology which his team later exposed with a very professional rebuttal witness, but he also got the witness to say that ALL cluster B traits were indicative of I.P.V. Which was important because Amber Heard had previously been diagnosed (by a very professional sounding lawyer) with two separate cluster B disorders: Histrionic and Borderline. He eventually got the witness to testify explicitly against his own client. It was a drawn-out and rambling cross-examination, but he got there in the end. This witness absolutely hurt Amber's case more than Depp's.

This is a clip I would like to see, but the huge difference in volume between the legal queen's comments and the mad psychiatrist makes it nearly impossible. Why would you let something like this slip through the cracks. I have neighbours who easily complain about noise volume. So I either have to watch the legal queen mime her comments or have the neighbours knock on my door after ten minutes of watching this clip accusing me of being utterly inconsiderate.

1) Have you tried headphones? 2) Have you tried lowering the volume? 3) Have you tried watching it on your phone? 4) Have you tried watching it during the day and not at night where your neighbors might not be as incentivized to complain (since it's during the day)? Also, the audio levels are fine.

@@TheMeditorEditor No, I just ignored the channel and never gave it another thought. There are plenty of channels where creators pay attention to detail and take pride in getting it as close as possible to perfect for viewers like me not to bother with channels where the overall quality is slap-dash, to put it kindly. I never gave it another thought until you jumped out of the troll-trolley just now with your argumentative comment. The content simply wasn't worth going through extraordinary measures to try to thresh the little bit of wheat from all the chaff.

15:27 It is kinda of irrelevant but actually Johnny Depp was in 21 Jump Street as a cameo as one of the members of the Motorcycle-gang that sold drugs and died in one of the later scenes.

Why does it say this channel is not available? I would assume if you deleted your channel none of the videos would be shown anymore. I'm in the US so not sure if that makes a difference.

You cant repeat what someone told you. Thats hearsay. If the lawyers want to hear exactly what someone said they need to call them in to testify.
