Not gonna lie. The story of the possessed man who tells Jesus "I am Legion... For we are many" is probably the most disturbing moment in the entire Bible. It literally leaves you terrified. It even inspired the plot of horror movies like "The Exorcist III: Legion"

Lol most disturbing story of the bible, is the story of Solomon. To be the wisest man on earth and still fall too the same demons that you once controlled is honestly humbling but scary, shows how hard it is getting to heaven and how easy it is too go to hell. Even with a god like wisdom the demons still knew his fate which also shows the demons probably can predict the future.

I always found the story of the guys that were traveling around, pretending to cast out demons horrifying. They come across a guy that actually has a demon in him, and when they try their con, he responds "I know Jesus, and I know Paul, who are you?" Then he attacks the men, leaving all of them bloody and naked in the middle of the road

Exorcism is similar to movies, where you are using faith and prayer to drive the demon out of its host -- whether that be a human, an object, a place, etc. The demon feels literal pain as God's love is commanding it out of its unrightful host. Its only way to combat this is to stop the prayer, and the easiest means is through distraction. It's vital to be steadfast and have faith in God and in your projection of his word. I know this because I've exorcised someone before. I never tell people this, but it was a friend of a former friend. I can also say that demons are able to be killed. I won't say how I know this, primarily because I can't reasonably expect anyone to believe me, but I do know this. And once they're gone, they're gone. They don't get an afterlife. But killing a demon isn't something you can go and do, so don't attempt it. The best way to combat demons is to never engage with them in the first place, directly or indirectly. That includes your words and thoughts. The realm in which angels and demons reside works differently than our physical realm, and thoughts and actions are the same thing in that realm. The negativity you hold in your heart or the harmful words and actions you take can attract evil. Faith is us asking God for help, and God will help if we ask. But we have to do our part as well. You can believe me or call me crazy, but you haven't seen and done what I've seen and done. And what many others have, unfortunately, seen and done. Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. Do those in your thoughts, words, and actions, and you'll shine like a light that evil is afraid to touch.

Speaking of The Exorcist, it's a shame the third movie, Legion, didn't get the popularity it deserved due to the god-awful second movie. It was pretty good, specially the acting and atmosphere, which is not surprising since the original author of the novel William Peter Blatty wrote and directed the movie

Exorcist III is one of my favorite movies. George C Scott is fantastic, and the movie does not require blood or gore to get across a good scare. I feel it utilizes the actors well to paint the visuals of the horror taking place. Unfortunately I feel this movie gets eclipsed by Exorcist II only because Linda Blair was in that one, and it came out only 4 years after the original.

Funnily enough, I, a protestant layman, drove out a couple of demons from my room on separate occasions by simply telling them to screw off in Jesus’s name. Funny how God can use anybody to do anything you want isn’t it?

What demons *can* do. They have been here for billions of years, they didn't suddenly pack up and leave, because mankind was suddenly doing such a good job of evil without them. Humanity's latest spate of evil sinful living, is a repeated phenomenon. Things are going to get better soon, and then in hundreds of years time, they will start to get worse again, and the cycle will repeat, as it has since the dawn of humanity.

Possession is real people. I’ve experienced it to a degree, I wasn’t possessed but I had other spirits in me and while I was sleeping they would be talking in my head and I couldn’t sleep. I called them out in Jesus’s name and I threw up a little and they left. I felt so weak after and I also felt so cool, cause that’s how much power Jesus’s name holds. The quote people are fighting demons aka spirits isnt random.

I’ll put it in a very simple way. Angles fort against YHW in heaven. They became fallen angles. There fallen angles then had children with people females on the earth. These offspring are what we know as giants. Who are part human and fallen angle. When the giants die they cannot be saved since they are not of God and not fully human so they remain on the earth. (Spiritually) So now this is a demon since it can’t operate physically without possessing humans. Possession doesn’t mean you will see them talk weird or act weird but there are demons for bad things. Example demons can make someone who have stage 1 cancer go to stage 4 and you then see them die out of nowhere.

They proved, in tackling the Stay Puft Marshmallow man, that they are quite able to deal with demons. They were at the start of a potential apocalypse in that first film. The fact that they overcame such an extreme set of circumstances, means that despite Ray's rejection of the title, they would be considered to be gods. @@mill2712
