I don't just play jazz, my longest running band plays mostly blues and rock music, a lot of which from the era being referenced by these guys. [Verse 1] I could love anyone and I believe They'd love me too and never leave You could love everyone but what do you do? You frighten them off, they don't matter to you [Chorus] You move onto another person No one can give you what you want You love someone when their heart is hurting But they could never be the one [Verse 2] I think you're beautiful, well, isn't it strange? Stay here with me, and never change We could be suitable, like one in the same A light in the world, ever dark and mundane [Chorus] But you move onto another person No one can give you what you want You love someone when their heart is hurting But they could never be the one You move onto another person No one can give you what you want You love someone when their heart is hurting But they could never be the one You move onto another person No one can give you what you want You love someone when their heart is hurting But they could never be the one

Best tribute band to 70s power pop around.
@blistabliss4 жыл бұрын
I understand you're complementing them but they are in no way a tribute band to the 70's. And I understand you can clearly hear the 70's 60's influences (it's my favorite era of music and the best era of rock music ever). But they are not aspiring to be a 70's band and I honestly don't think they're retro. I think people confuse the fact that music from the 60s and 70s is good and this is also good. There's no denying the influences but that's their gimmick. They are simply an amazing band making sort of sometimes simple amazing pop rock songs and that in itself doesn't make it 70s . Even if the music scene wasn't shit right now they would stand out. People are confusing the fact that the 70s and 60s music is arguably the only true period of original rock music because it was truly a revolution and rebellion against the status quo with the fact that their music is actually intrinsically good instead of have to make some other argument for why it's good. I honestly think people who think they're a retro band are missing something and probably the most important part of the band which is that they're just doing their thing because the elements they add and how young they are, tied with how studied they are make this a completely different thing and they certainly wouldn't want be categcorized as simply retro. Not that's what you're saying I just hear that a lot.

Just a fan message here. I just wanted to tell you guys how amazing your music is, on the most profound levels. I grew up listening to and idolizing so many amazing bands since I was a child (turning 30 this month), Bowie, Queen, Lou Reed, Sparks, Mott The Hoople, Thin Lizzy, Blue Oyster Cult, Roxy Music, Budgie, Roy Wood, Scorpions, Rainbow, Genesis, Arthur Brown, including so many other smaller but legendary bands of the 60s and 70s. Needless to say, music of today and what was being broadcast in my upbringing never did much for me. In recent years there have been bands that have piqued some interest (generally those that utilize elements of previous generations) but it’s always been ephemeral; nothing quite like the staying power and majesty of the formerly mentioned bands (although I recognize the hard work and dedication of these bands, nonetheless). I discovered your band only about 3 or 4 years ago and I will say I have been moved in a way that I could only say some of my biggest idols ever have moved me… I can’t articulate how much that is saying for me, as those bands have shifted all the major events of my life to where I am now. Everything is perfect, from song structure, the different textures used, the sincerity of your voices, your impeccable dress styles, and those unparalleled lyrics. I can’t go a few days without cranking your music and nodding my head at the relatable yet esoteric words. They really put me in a better place. All these factors (with such execution) in your band expresses an understanding and transcendence that must be cultivated by extremely unique and intelligent individuals. This to me is what I feel deep down comes across in your music. I just wanted to thank you for reinvigorating a part of me that has been malnourished for some time now; a part of me that I hold the most sacred. I look forward to whatever you guys release in the future and will continue to support you guys for as long as I live! Best regards, -Paul
