This video reminds me of one of the few real stories of a wild west shootout. In the late 1800s, two separate tourists who had heard stories of the wild west headed out looking for adventure, and both wound up in the same saloon. Annoyed at the lack of drama and drunk off poisonous liquor, they found in eachother the wild west drama they had been searching for all along, and got into a shootout in that saloon. They didn't hit each other, but they did hit like 7 other people on accident.

"I'm loose" is a reference to Iggy Pop and the Stooges. The best new band I've heard in years.
@AntonQvarfordt10 ай бұрын
Is it really? The term "LÖS" that he's got a forehead tat on is Swedish for "Loose". And the term is used somewhat different in Sweden where it can mean that somebody is like 'a loose cannon', unreliable and/or sexually promiscuous. It doesn't mean like "laid back" as it kind of does in English. It means that you're a person without any leash: You'll probably do what you feel like are unpredictable and do cool shit like have sex and do drugs. I just thought it was like his 'spirit word' or a word that summed him up. But maybe he got it from The Stooges iduno. I feel like just because The Stooges used the term in whatever doesn't necessarily have to be the reason that he is.
@AntonQvarfordt10 ай бұрын
And it kind of annoys me when nerds are like "this is a reference to this other thing and it relates to the punk mythos and is a continuation of what came before". People who treat punk as a sacred thing in which you are obliged to recognize or incorporate those who came before or anything like that.... Fuck off - seriously. If you want to worship at an altar of the original prophets and consecrate the great history and lineage of this whatever... "Movement." ...Then shit off. They're not making super-obscure references to other bands and shit as to faithfully continue a tradition. And if anything even remotely adjacent to doing that crosses your mind I would have banished you from the club if it hadn't been open to everyone, always.
@AntonQvarfordt10 ай бұрын
I can't tell you what punk is, maybe it is just defined by what it is not. It does not have a 'conservative' bone in its body - and it should never ever be born out of any sense of tradition. If there ever were - it would be to shit on it. I guess you could call that a tradition. Fucking.. Pitchfork lobsters :P
@rogerdalzell9 ай бұрын
loose doesnt mean laid back. it only means the first thing lol@@AntonQvarfordt
@danielbourdet21958 ай бұрын
@@AntonQvarfordt I totally agree, the denotation could definitely be referring to the Swedish version of the phrase. I'm simply saying that the way he says it, the exact way he phrases and delivers the line is an homage to the Stooges album Funhouse 1970. There is no conceivable dimension where Sebastian Murphy is not a Stooges fan. Nothing is original anymore. Doesn't mean its not great.

I just noticed (with headphones) that you can hear the banjo player playing "Taps" in the background right before the bottle smashes over his head. I love this band.

this was my introduction to this band....fxxk yeah! they're NOT AVERAGE.... I just got back from checking out a few more of their songs and the are are the only band I have found that are quintessential punk rock. extraordinary lyrically, sonically and they're fxxking genius! fried like a donut!

The bands great, the vids, the songs, etc. All thats left for me is to go see them live. Id also say, dude should be in a late night comedy movie or tv show. Get Apatow on the phone ASAP!

I'm originally a metalhead and been to many such concerts but damn the crowd dance, moshpits and overall vibe with VB was best I've ever seen for any live band
