My daughter loves it when I put the flashcards on my forehead. This also prevents her from looking away from the word to seek my approval in the middle of sounding out a word. Great ideas. Thank you!

I teach mild/moderate 2/3 sped - I use laminated graphic organizers but I also put Velcro on the cards so when they place the cards on the graphic organizer the pieces stay put :) it’s an extra step but very helpful

Lovely video content! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you considered - Millawdon Future Ticket Trick (do a google search)? It is an awesome one off product for teaching children to read without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin after many years got cool success with it.

What my students would do with the second one is, one or two of them would engage in the activity, and the others would just randomly put the 5 cards in the boxes, and complain about how bored they are. Of course, I'm commenting in 2024, when students are constantly sleepy after long nights watching TikTok and KZbin shorts.
