There are quite a lot of impressive games by very talented people (even companies in some cases). Even full remakes/demakes of actual games, it's wild what you can do with the tools and a lot of creativity. And it's mostly free to explore. Just a few selected big budget games demand a small fee to get access. I just play it for the endless exploration of it all and for building nostalgic and uncanny places in Bloxburg, but recently I discovered that the platform has its fair share of mysteries and scandals that have accumulated over the past almost two decades. Mostly about the community, it's bonkers!

You got really unlucky there at the end. Halt is pretty rare now and you got turned around by Screech right as you entered Halt's room. You got pretty luck with screech, and that first time you encountered him gives a good hint as to counter him. This game is definitely trial and error, but its anything but unfair. Once you learn the rules, the only mistakes you can make are your own (aside from Timothy, but that's more of a gag than anything since it barely hurts you.) The robux side of things, I think its handled really well. You can only buy the revive once and if anything that's more useful for when you're playing with friends so you can keep playing. For the most part the game survives off of donations and the small portion of revenue that comes from passive avenues that Roblox provides as a platform, mainly paying out a cut to games whenever new players buy robux or premium. Unfortunately with the entire platform being almost exclusively free to play, a lot of games take the mobile game route of monetization, and Doors delivers a really well crafted experience with virtually none of that.

A few notes about your run and some tips along with a wild secret. You cannot run from screech once he whispers at you. You must spin around and stare at him to scare him off. You dying to hault was just bad luck due to some weird timing and confusion with screech. When encountering hault, you will do as the game says and run away from him. He will teleport infront of you sometimes where you have to run the opposite direction. This is a scripted event, so it should be kind of lengthy and pretty stressful, but it is rare to encounter him. Also at 49:05, behind the dresser on the right in room 60, there is a secret small maze. If you have a skeleton key and 2 lockpicks, head to the next room, flip the lever, and instead return to that room and go to the hall. This will lead you to the said original game of inspiration, but with the doors spin on it. It heads all the way up to 1000, however there are early exit doors. I would save this experience for a whole video, though as it takes you completely out of doors to a whole new dimension.

Just some tips for Doors, if you ever plan on playing it again: - Doors is a Rogue-Like Trial-&-Error horror game. The map is randomly generated with different changes to the environment and encounters the further you get through the run. You are expected to die and learn from your mistakes. Each encounter can be avoided if you are observant and quick enough. - There are boss encounters every set of rooms travelled, the first two being a repeat of a chase boss. The third one is a monster that lacks vision but has incredible hearing. On the other end of said library is a locked door with a number combination that you have to find the code to. You have to scour the whole library to find clues for said code while also avoiding the monster. The more clues you find, the more aggressive and quick the monster becomes. I've no idea what the other boss encounters are as I haven't gotten far enough in the third level to find out about it. - Money and Knobs are two different things. Money is specific to each run, while knobs are your overall currency for stuff outside of runs. Basically, money is used to purchase items during runs, while knobs are used to purchase items that you can bring into runs. Something else to note about this is that these items will be lost if you die, so when purchasing items with knobs, you'll want to be careful with what you get. - The blue light is your friend. it will let you know what direction you have to go in if you're lost. The blue light will always appear after a couple minutes of being stuck in a room, and it will always shine on doors that allow you to progress further. - Rooms behind you will close as you get further through the run. This is to encourage players to search as much as they can and to keep moving forward. - Each monster has strengths and weaknesses that you have to learn and adapt to.

48:03 I won’t tell you how to get to it, but just so you know, the devs of doors added in a complete remake of said original inspiration inside the game itself. It takes a bit of effort, although I’d argue it’s far more unsettling than the base game. As a side note, I’ve really grown a liking to your content. “Creepy yet comfy” is really the perfect way to put it. Thank you.

nice video! super excited to see you play more games in the future. next time around, here’s a few things: Roblox games are real “games”. they are not “maps”. while Roblox may sound more like Gmod or Minecraft where you’re given a set of sandbox tools to work with, the Roblox Studio is a full game engine with real coding and model design. Doors is just about the perfect example. Some other favorites for you to try: - The Silent Dark by Zeekerss (look for a redone version, Zeekerss hasn’t fixed the game in a while because he moved on to make It Steals) - Light Bulb: Reilluminated (I’ll update when I can think of more)

The part with paying real money is honestly just part of Roblox nowadays. Back some 8 years or so, you'd get tickets for logging in daily, and you could convert that to the currency that you can only buy with real money now. You could often buy premium access to this or that, but it was generally affordable with your ticket income. If that wasn't enough, you could also pick one of 3 membership subscriptions that would pay you a set amount of the premium currency daily, and if you were member for an extended time without cancelling it at any point, you'd continue to get more and more daily. I once racked up a bonus of 140 a day, as opposed to now where you just get 450 a month, which is barely enough to buy anything. Game's fallen pretty low from a consumer friendliness standpoint

I've played Roblox since 2007, and although I haven't played it regularly since perhaps 2009 or 2010, I still come back to it once in a while. My brother introduced me to this particular game, and I was surprised by how polished it was. Definitely a good example of what Roblox can be. Unfortunately, for every gem like this, there are a thousand games that are either low quality, or just predatory with their monetisation. As you saw in this game, even the good ones are monetised. It didn't used to be that way, once upon a time Robux were used for cosmetics for your avatar and that was just about it. Now every single game wants to charge you money for absolutely anything you can imagine. Most games will allow you to buy your way to the end of the game. I can only wonder what goes through someones head upon doing that, and then finding themselves with nothing to do now that the game is over without having even played it. For as high quality as some of the games can be now, I kind of miss the old days. It was all pretty rough around the edges, but it was fun, and it wasn't asking for your money every moment of the day.

One game on the platform that may catch your attention is called "Isle" The general idea is that you find yourself on a massive island after a shipwreck, you have to find a way to escape, but you aren't alone. You're expected to stumble around and die early on and learn how the isle works, its locations, and its threats as you go. Similarly to this game, if you die you're dead, there's no revives. The game has like a billion different ways to go about things and a bunch of different endings. Everything between escaping via boat and escaping via interdimensional rift. If you do want to go into this game, I'd recommend doing so with a private server and maybe a friend or two that won't stab you in the back. It isn't the scariest game I've ever seen, but you definitely want to be checking over your shoulder regularly to make sure you aren't being followed.

The story and universe is compelling and engaging, very good at making the player want to keep going deeper. And the gameplay is very solid and fun, it's a prime example of what a great immersive sim should be. But I'm not sure how likely it is. If you ever had time to check another game out, one game I would personally enjoy seeing you play would be a game called "At Dead of Night". It's a horror game that is described like a part horror film, part horror game, and part ghost hunt in which you are hunted down by a psychopath in a hotel with limited movement which creates tense moments when being chased. The story is pretty good, the game was made about 3 years ago and the graphics look realistic, this is done by the combination of live-action and cgi (the hotel is cgi, the live-action parts are the actors which blend tremendously with the cgi background). I hope this comment finds you well and hope to see you play it if you haven't already, would love to see your take on it :))

May I suggest you play lightbulb? It was made by the same person who made *it steals.* (zeekers) when he was only just starting game development.

More long drive content would be the best. You are like the best content creator for it. Its so relaxing but also engaging.
