7:23 I remember a greentext where a 9 year old girl very politely ordered some nuggets by herself, so anon gave her some extra. Later, he was cleaning tables near the girl and her mom, and when the girl pointed out she got extra, he overheard the mom saying "yeah fast food workers are so stupid, they don't know how to count." Maybe the Orlando Burger King staff wanted to give them a little treat/apology but NL's like "*nobody* gives a shit, well at least we're *lucky* to get extra instead of fewer" I also remember a CGP Grey (I think) video where he was asked how the average person could realistically reduce carbon emissions, since it feels like there's nothing you can do. The average person needs a phone, electricity, a car, and already only flies when they have to. A reduction in CO2 would have to come from legislation on the big industries. But he concluded that the only thing you can do personally, is to never go on a cruise ship, and convince all your friends to never do so either.
@gooblop11 сағат бұрын
Yeah, I can honestly imagine the Burger King person being like "finally a customer that isn't yelling because we're out of cheese, I'll do something nice and give them this whole batch of nuggets".

I think Tokyo disneysea brings out the most primal emotions in people. I remember that at the end of the day we spent there, so many people in my class were either furious, in pain, or half-dead from exhaustion. I wrote like a 2 page document criticising the teachers and one of my classmates wanted to stop the trip (this was the 3rd day out of a 14 day trip)

Weird coincidence, back when I was 18 I used to work at one of those two Burger Kings at OIA (MCO). They were run by HMSHost, who is infamous in airports for contracting food service workers for these jobs, and for treating them like utter shit and underpaying them. My schedules were close to 60 hours weeks behind the line, and it was awful. I had two awful managers who would scream at both customers and staff, often for trivial things and making people cry. I left after 3 months there because I developed a foot injury from constantly slipping in the kitchen because they were awful about mopping (and did not care). I had a limp for a year and some change, and I had to get prescribed shoes from a foot doctor to make walking bearable. It was not covered from my job. A few years later I was in the airport headed somewhere, and I saw the old manger there, but he looked like he had aged 10,000 years from stress. Legit bags under his eyes, posture all fucked up from leaning over the counter, and hair entirely white. Still yelling at people though. Fuck that guy, like, a lot. But also, nobody deserves to be grinded down by a job like that. Stay away from HMSHost if you can.
