I think density would indirectly be true for sinking in water. Since buoyancy is an upwards force proportional to the amount of water displaced, something denser but the same weight would sink faster since it takes up less volume. If buoyancy=gravity then the object will float. In air though density has nothing to do with the falling speed, just weight and air resistance. The reason the classical example is in a vacuum is to negate the air resistance.

NL is right about denser materials do theoretically fall faster in a vacuum. Denser means a greater gravitational pull. The thing is that the difference between a feather and an elephant, in contrast with the mass of the earth, is insignificant. So the pull is basically the same.

Edit: tbf there are like paradiddle techniques and whatnot that might be worth learning that could involve double-hits with one stick or another, in order to add emphasis in a certain way, but as a default yeah typically I think purely alternating for triplets is the norm

Important to note that there's a difference between triplets (3 evenly spaced notes across a measure) and a galloping pattern (two quarter notes and a half note per measure). Idk the song they're talking about but it definitely sounds like a galloping pattern which can definitely be easier to do 2:1 depending on what drum your hitting; it's a lot easier to keep time if your right (or left) hand is always hitting on 1.

Yeah, I think librarian has mentioned before that they artificially take away some of the chat delay by messing with the video timeline. Probably by a few seconds I think
