I live in Medellin and I use the K line Metrocable to commute to barrio Popular every week. It’s an amazing, unique experience to commute this way, and demonstrates what advanced planning and public investment can do to raise the standard of living for millions of people. Bravo Medellin!

What he said at the beginning about the color palette distinction is kind of misleading. Both low and high income use reddish bricks as their main construction material. Those who live in extreme poverty often use wood and metal roofs. I'm from Medellin btw.

Capacity seems to be a problem, they probably considered it but bigger gondels might have been a wise idea

Bigger gondolas are not necessary cause the gondolas pass every 30/45 seconds

Red brick is part of the identity and aesthetics of Colombian architecture, there are mansions and megabuildings made with red brick, not just low-income houses. For example, "El Poblado", "barrio el Chicó" or "Hacienda Fontanar" are high-income neighborhoods and yet red brick predominates.
