It’s about the adventure. We couldn’t do this track while we were there. But have done Climes in 2017. Our mates did the Montezuma track and it was hard going. Love your vids.

Walked the track 2 days ago, it’s just over 10 km return to the car park and it was amazing, sorry you didn’t make it but gee what a fun video to watch 👍😃

Down that way 1978, Couldn't do tracks like that in my 72 Belmont panel van, 🤣🤣, Although I did some 4 wheel driving in it , Trying to get out of cattle property after a lot of rain, With success. Only pulled a short section by tractor, Four wheel driving is natural to me, as it was my daily drive to work , Timber cutting. Love that yous are out there having fun , Enjoying your travels Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺

You made the absolute right call. I've had fun with my Ranger on Moreton Island. Big puddle across the track and I couldn't help it and had to do it. Water over bonnet. Some electronics got fried - Got it stuck in 2nd gear low range... Really wish I had your approach and just turned around when I wasn't sure... I resolved it all in the end, but plenty of stress on the way!

I have done that track on a motor bike with a few mates and have walked in from the Williams town side maybe 5 or 6 times. this is more than 20 years ago. A mate of mine unfortunately passed away a few years back and we spread his ashes in one of the creeks. SO DONT DRINK THE WATER! lol. we lived in Zeehan for about 10 years last century. great memories of the West Coast of Tassie. live in South Australia now.

Def agree that these sorts of tracks are best done with a buddy. Even though we are dual locked, with a winch and good suspension and tyres, we did the hike due to being on our own. Top effort though and it would have been heaps of fun regardless of how far you got❤

Always hard to know, but you would have made it comforatbly I reckon. At least you got to see the falls!

Hey Simon and Liz, long time follower but first time commitmenting. You guys keep it so real compared to a lot of other channels. You call a spade a spade and aren't influenced by others, I love it. I am eagerly watching your Tassie trip and writing notes for when my family and I get down there. I have Montezuma falls - hike in 🤣. I can't wait for you to start the '76 build to. They're a money pit but such a reliable and capable tow rig and 4WD, you wont regret it. Anyway, stay safe, and I can't wait for your next vlog to drop. Cheers Paul 👍 🍻

I have walked to the falls, it took a while because there was beautiful fungi everywhere and we stopped and took lots of photos. My son has ridden on his adventure bike on the track you went on so I enjoyed seeing it. One day you will get back there. Thanks.

I snapped my CV joint in my Ranger doing Climies track in Tas, and then there was a wait to get it repaired, because I stupidly did not have a spare. My mates decided to do Montezuma Falls, wow I have never been so stressed doing a track with a broken CV. It took ages due to my Ranger and we decided to set up camp at the end of the track.. hahaha, then made our way back the next morning.

It's a fun track, but with a broken CV would be interesting to say the least!

Well you know what they say..its not the destination, its the journey to get there thats the fun! Well done on using common sense and turning round. At least you could turn around 🙄 its been known in our family where a long reverse has been result of going a step too far 🤣🤣 see you next week 🙂

Gr8 trek …. 79 will eat it a 200 would make it look like a Highway 😝

Good call to turn back. A 2 inch lift would have made all the difference and so not worth risking car damage simply for the lack of clearance. Track looked like fun though
@The_Doc_Rocks Жыл бұрын
After a trip like that, the Montezuma Falls would really need to be something spectacular to avoid being an anticlimax after all that 4WD sloshing! One disappointing thing - would have loved to see you trying to turn around on that track, and also tackling some of those bog holes on the downward trip. Was it easier coming back down, or was it too hairy to put on KZbin??? ;)
@TheLifestylePioneers Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Pete. Always appreciate your constructive feedback. To be honest, the trip back was pretty similar to the way there so we didn't think it was that interesting!
