I have been so looking forward to this, absolutely awesome scheme. I love my classic and thought you might like to here a couple of tips. As you may be aware Dave Wilshere is the main distributor for Carf in the UK. In Jet International Mag, Dave write a regular column. In an article published in the June mag he suggested two tips that we all follow in the UK which i think you might find useful. 1: CG. we have them balance behind the wing spare with landing fuel in the main tank, my timer is set for 7 and a half minutes and starts when the retracts go up. 2: we all put 8mm spacer blocks under the nose leg this really helps the aircraft rotate better on take of. I don't think Dave will mind me mentioning him about this.

With my Rebel Classic I used solid Aluminium servo mounts from Intairco for the Ailerons and Rudder instead of the wooden ones supplied , I use a Jets Munt 166TS and a CMPro 4L tank , but the X120/130 and standard tank would be fine and save some weight. The Flap setup was the trickiest part of the build , like the Rebel hot , getting max deflection without the pushrod contacting with the inside of the wing. Slowing it down for landing on Tarmac with no headwind is also a challenge, perhaps the X120 would help with a lower static thrust.

if it's JP your refering to than the LGC22 gives you more control and better brakes. This plane shortly after maiden got Electron retracts and the LGC22 was already setup for the ER40's that went in it.

Using the canopy latch system to install a pitot tube is brilliant, but why use another 2.4 receiver instead of going with the 900 MHz?

Great question. The owner sets all his aircraft up in this manner. No 900's used. Primary reciever and a clone.
