The Hispano Aviation Bull is complete! Very quick build on this aircraft! Thanks for watching the series! Now we just need some spring weather to maiden the aircraft!

Well that went fast. She would be a good starter Jet as pretty straight forward to build up with middle range turbine. Excellent work. Right next........;0).

Thanks Nick! Yea great plane for a first timer or a seasoned pilot. 120N turbine to 250 N turbine!

Hi Jon, Very nice built. I love your vids. Have you ever considered to use FuelBag instead of Tank & UAT? I am using FuelBag and it is lighter. With a 3L tank you easily can safe 200gramms. Additionally the plumbing is reduced to 2 lines! 😊 Great job of yours!
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Would absolutely love too but they are not allowed in Canada. We are fairly free on rules but that’s one of the stupid ones for sure!
@hornetrider66802 жыл бұрын
@@thelightersideofrc Wow. Didn't know that the fuelbags are not allowed. Kind of strange. Would be interested to know the reason.
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Yea just part of our governing body’s rules. 🤦🏻
@davewilshere2 жыл бұрын
If you twist it vertical as you prime the system that’s it. In flight all the guys who set them vertically have them horizontal in a Full bore climb 😂
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Haha. That’s great Dave! Never thought of that before 🤣. That alone quashes the “filter MUST be vertical” mentality.
@davewilshere2 жыл бұрын
Never worry how the filter mounts, just that it’s purged of air on the first prime/run. After that it’s a sealed system.

The Ranger is Started and Complete. The Large CARF L-39 is about 1/2 way done and then the Pair of F4's starts.

Can’t believe with the number of aircraft you build you’re not using a Xicoy balancer. 🤔😋
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
I have and very often use my Xicoy Balancer. I hate measuring for the xicoy balancer. We have a solution coming for that! Stay Tuned!

Hi Jon, how do you dare a tip time without Trusty it's a shame 😂😂 It's a joke of course ! It seems the rudder is shaking during engine test isn't it ? Thanks for all as always 👍👍
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Haha. I know hey!!! Yea that’s a norm with a cortex and most jets. It doesn’t usually show up in flight but a common solution is to build a foam house around it.
@davidleleux49482 жыл бұрын
@@thelightersideofrc ok but why on the ground and not on the air? I would be affraid to take of after had seen that on the ground... in fact i don't really know what the cortex is, is it the gyro? If yes i can understand, maybe it feels some yaw vibrations during engine test on the ground when you hold the aircraft with your hand and he wants balance it with the rudder... thanks for explainations please 👍
@wargor2 жыл бұрын
Any reason you don't use the Xicoy for balancing anymore? just curious. Thanks
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Mainly just the pain in the butt to do the measurements. We have a game changing solution coming soon!😉😊

2 questions please. What’s your source for the hot glue strain relief mold and, why did you use a rex12 instead of a Rex satellite?
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
For sure Dave. I will have to do some searching to find it but it came from a fellow in Europe. If you send me an email It will be the best way for me to search and then send you the info. I use a Rex 12 or Rex 7 with the 40cm Dipole antennas. Better signal strength vs the small straight antennas.

Love the channel! I’m thinking about getting into R/C. I know I’m not going to start with turbines For us newbies could you explain what some of the systems do? IE what is a UAT. Need some help with the acronyms! Thanks
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Great Suggestion for a video! Thank you for this one! On the todo list!
@bigjoesburgers2 жыл бұрын
Uat means universal air trap. It's purpose is to catch any air bubbles in the fuel system before they reach the turbine. Air bubbles in the fuel supply to the turbine will possibly cause a flame out.

Hey Jonathan, in reference to mounting the batteries, 3M DuraLock is a great option. Has a super strong adhesive backing and locks together with plastic fingers/teeth, similar to Velcro but has incredible shear strength. And very hard to pull apart.
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Hey Klaus! Thanks for the suggestion! I need to source some of this stuff for sure! I ended up getting JOE, my 3D printing guy to do some battery holders for me. They have a cool quick release system. Basically it's a box that holds the battery and the box clips in place.

Is this the turbine model you suggested getting into a turbine plane flying? I built one on the Boomerang website and yeah it's a lot cheaper than I thought it was. Thanks for that
@thelightersideofrc2 жыл бұрын
Yea! The Bull is a great option as well as the boomerangs. 2 very different level of aircraft but both easy fliers.
@r.d.boschung83742 жыл бұрын
Sir, I think it would be safer for you if you wore some sort of eye protection when running up jet engines. Your face is rather close to the jet and fuel tank, if anything cut loose like a pressurized line for turbine blades, safety glasses would certainly help mitigate eye damage. Use a pair of shop glasses maybe, or sunglasses outdoors. Thanks, Bo
