Hello! I was not addicted to weed, but for what i ve been through it really helped me to do it less often. Instead of every single day, lets say 5 times a week, after a little bit 4 times and so on. When you will get to 1 or 2 times a week you really don t feel like doing that habit anymore and it will be easier to go clean and quit once and for all. Also, it really helps if you get yourself busy with work, school, gym, go for a walk or run, cook whatever. Hope things are getting better brother

To all of you who are struggling with this addiction, i have too had the same addiction and it was bad, but when I fully gave myself to Jesus, man it changed. The Bible teaches to meditate on the Lord daily, all throughout the day. Wether it be sermons, reading your Bible, worship music, just thinking about Jesus, do something to just constantly have your mind on the Lord and it starts to become a habit, your desires begin to change. Im praying for all of you who are going through this❤️ Just follow God and He will give you new life

Keep on going man im 23 and I quit 7months ago if you quit now and improve yourself you’ll set yourself up for a very successful fulfilling life change your friend groups get involved with new activities and focus don’t feel bad about changing your lifestyle !!!

A lot of your friends are gonna still do it, and thats okay you are not them. I dont talk to 90% of the people I used to hangout with in high school. All those bad decisions over time made it harder for me to personally clean up my life. So keep that in mind and know who YOU are, not who THEY want you to be!

As someone who’s been in the church and saved at 6 and reggae my life to Christ again @16 . I’ve been constantly falling into the porn addiction. Even @21 rn it’s a chain that was broken that I keep trying to put back on my wrists . But I’m always reminded of how the flesh is waging war with the spirit . The more you feed your spirit, the less control / power your flesh has . So when in a situation where you’re tempted by lust , drugs , lying , making any kind of bad decision that you’d sacrifice for short term pleasure outside of the order God had for it . The easier it is for you to call upon God to be your strength. And even in the process of sin if you’re born again he still gives you a way out of it . But it’s usually a conviction / voice saying Donny don’t do this you know better . Vs allowing your flesh to win battle after battle making your spirit weaker than you flesh . Making it harder ti overcome sin because your flesh has more strength to chase after the short term desire . So the more you read the word , waking up each day giving God that first slice of cake/ your day . The more you’ll crave more time with God this in return will bless you but set you up to over come any addiction / sin . You can’t over come any sin by debating in your mind . Instead Call upon God find accountability & step away from the phone , the person , the drugs . Removing yourself no matter what it is will help you not fall into sin . But take it day by day and don’t expect to get it down first day . Instead build up the control to get yourself out your phone down when that girl texts , your plug hits your phone , your friend texts “ yo there’s free alcoholic bevy’s “ . While being like God I need you to take the place of that distraction, that text , that one night stand , that conversation where ik I’ll say something I’ll regret. Jesus lived the same life we do , he went through the same temptations and set an example of perfection to die for our sin because we are imperfect. He wants us to go to him when we have an anxiety attack , depression, sadness, anger , joy , lust etc. because he’s our creator and he knows how to fix things we think the worlds materialistic and temporary solutions can fix . Hopefully someone sees this and gains something from this long paragraph. God bless 6/4/23 .

Honestly, the timing of this Podcast and the topics is crazy for me. I've struggled for a long time with falling into lust and around 3 weeks ago I completely cut it out for multiple reasons one being pursuing a closer relationship with God but it also just feels amazing to not be a prisoner to lust and being able to walk around confidently and treat Women normally and not feel awkward. With full transparency there are definitely times where I've looked at a girl in the Gym in a lustful way but over the past 3 weeks I've made it my main goal to just have respectful eyes and if it happens on accident I just ask God for forgiveness and don't have to feel horrible about it. Thank you as always for being transparent with all of us Alex you're a huge inspiration. And yesterday marks 100 pounds down in 8 months for me went from 330-230 appreciate your help with that have a good day bro.🦾

Also bro, you touched a little on sanctification. The way my pastor described it is as a Christian, we are sanctified in two ways. 1.) Positional sanctification- our position with the Father in heaven was set when we were saved. That is set in stone. 2. Progressive sanctification- a lifetime journey of conforming more and more into the image of Christ. God saved us, not to use his grace as a cloak for a life of sin, but to shed the shackles of sin and spread his love and righteousness in the world.
