I find the concept of "maturity" so fascinating in the modern era. I know women in their 40s and 50s that chase bad boys, spend all day on their phone, blow their money on nonsense, obsess over fashion, etc, etc. How is that really much different then a woman in their 20s?

Truly, it is only SMART to split up duties. In the city, you don't NEED one sex to do one thing and one to do the other. My dad raised the corn and peas and beans. My mom and a little me canned and froze them. But mom and I picked the berries and made jelly and jam. (Dad wasn't picking any berries. He'd mow the lawn 2 to 3X a week. We weren't close. ) It doesn't matter WHO, but it's important THAT it get done and there's ownership, but only IF that works for your house. Somebody has to do the work.

Good for her that she has some money and can afford a maid, but not everyone can, and women not as financially affluent as her look at her and go: "Oh, so I should never have to do that either.". The fact she didn't even factor that in at all, and Chris didn't challenge her on that at all, is appalling. I do it, all the damn time, pick up the clothes, chuck them in a dirty clothes bin, sort by color, put in washing machine on washing day, turn on, wait for an hour or 2, put in dryer, wait for an hour or 2, fold, put in closet, done. 3:52 Seriously. Why would anyone want you if you can't cook or clean? I'm a dude and I've been cleaning the house (including washing dishes by hand, taking out trash, cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, cleaning up spills and messes, taking care of pets... etc., etc.) since I was 6, doing my own laundry since I was 12, working since I was 14, paying rent since I was 16 and cooking for myself since I left home and you can't see yourself doing someone else's laundry that you're being intimate with... Relationships aren't 50/50. They're 100/100. If you're both not willing to do what's needed when it's needed, you will fail. Good job 'practicing'... ?? How about just being responsible? Grow up.

I mean sure, in some relationships people will do their own laundry, but as a parent you've always gotta do tons of laundry for your kids. But Ms Maturity clearly has no idea what it's really like to be an adult. She's no different then the young men she insults.

One of the main issues I see in the relationships of my (Millennial) younger siblings (GenZ), is the mindset that a relationship needs to bring benefits for my persona. Like a business relationship, where knowing you brings benefits for my company/career, and therefore we keep in touch. They don`t get involved in a person and create a team together, but rather find a suitable addition to their persona and see the partner as an add-on. This mindset might keep you for very long invulnerable and on your feet, but will never open up the door to a true engaging partnership.

Men and women are of equal maturity at the same age. (Sometimes men are more mature due to societal expectations that they "be a man" and take on lots of responsibility and accountability) The problem is women typically expect man to be MORE mature than her at the SAME age. This rarely happens, so women typically look for older guys. Also, older guys are more established and aren't desperate financially. They have their own place, their own car and likely got a promotion or two. Women do typically mature faster than men, but this difference evaporates after early 20s.

So now I'm pretty sensitive to that kind of hypocricy. Furthermore, when we did move in together I was the only one who did ALL the cooking and ALL the cleaning, for years... And ofcourse that inclunded doing the laundry. ( how the F dose someone get to her age without doing someone elses laundry ? Even as a child isn't it normal do help out with your families laundry ? It's not that hard or weired ) And no, getting a maid isn't an option and it's not what guys want our partner to be either, but having someone who might on the odd ocasion step in and do the dishes once a month, or so, to give you a little break so your not the only one literally doing everything every single day isn't an unreasonable request....

But i don't like any other facial piercings on a woman. The guy who commented has a right to like or not like whatever he wants. He's probably mostly turned off by her attitude anyways. That's what's unattractive on her. She has the mind that her only duty in a relationship is to show up. It's supposed to be a 50/50 thing or at least a give and take dynamic. You do have to put in something. Her something comes off as her just saying yes to the relationship. This may just be talk. The right guy shows up and she may learn that she wants to be helpful. She wants to provide nutrition for her special someone. She wants to be in his corner by any means necessary. It's just this talk is more confirmation fodder for the red pill type community. "See, i told ya, they're all like that". I'm 42, when i was 20, the vast majority of young ladies weren't like this. I can see the prom queen types in high school maybe being this way. Too many young ladies today come off as they think they're the prom queen. In their minds there is an abundance of choice and they're a hot commodity.

It's a very 22 year old thing to say "I can't see myself doing my partner's laundry". I feel like that is directed toward any of the low value men she may have unfortunately came across in her dating experience (which I assume is very limited at her age). The moment you find a partner you care and trust, regardless of sex, I just don't see how anyone would ever say something so selfish. The word 'compromise' is almost non-existent in today's youth. You and your partner, if you have a healthy relationship, will find a way to get the mundane chores done by doing a little give and take. But we've all been young and said silly things with confidence, only to do a 180 as the years go on. Such is life. Prepare for a very disliked video, Chris! Love what you are doing though, papa bless.

“I’m pretty mature for my age…” Nobody who has matured to adulthood is interested in comparative evaluations…about maturity. No thirty year old man looks at another man who is wasting his life and thinks, “I’m so much more mature.” Instead, he thinks, “That dude is wasting his life.” “Maturity” is a word that pre-adults latch onto because they want to be perceived by others as being a competent adult before their peers. It’s like describing your day by telling everyone about your relative position on the Earth: if you’re not in space anymore, if you literally live on the surface of the planet - congratulations, you made it - constantly signaling your coordinates on planet Earth is NOT how you communicate…unless you’re still in space trying to convince other astronauts that you’re moving around on the surface. There are no actual adults who walk around talking about how much “adulting” they do, unless they’re being deliberately ironic. The only people who talk about how mature they are with respect to their peers are children who haven’t yet become completely occupied by…the purposeful living of an adult human. And, to be frank, it’s usually something only arrogant girls do…because defaming people around you is a feminine strategy. This guest is a teenager doing her best to impress other people her age. Which is literally what you’re supposed to grow out of. Can you imagine if normal adults sat around talking this way? “OMG, I’ve done so much more adulting today than Tammy or Bobby…” Je$u$ Chri$t.

I'm trying to find the most charitable interpretation of "I don't cook or clean", but I'm struggling to derive anything positive from that statement. Both cooking and cleaning are rudimentary life skills, so it's actually a problem if you literally cannot do either. If you *can* do those things, but choose to delegate them entirely to chefs/maids/etc, you live on an entirely separate plane of existence from most people. Even folks who can afford to order out for every meal (while eating healthy) are incredibly wealthy. This degree of privilege is beyond the scope of the average American experience. So that leaves us with an attitude wherein the individual in question can and does cook and clean for themselves, but they are unwilling to do so for a partner. And that just sucks. If you aren't willing to cook or clean for me sometimes, how are we supposed to build a life together? How can we possibly work as a team to address much more substantial challenges like sharing finances and raising children? Hell, I can't even expect you to fulfill my sexual needs if you can't be bothered to throw my laundry in with yours. I wish Sara the best, but I hope she changes her perspective on what it means to be in a relationship. As it stands, she seems just as unprepared as her male peers to engage in a substantial relationship that demands commitment, compromise, and sacrifice.

if men are going to mature earlier, i think it needs to be an intentional choice by the parents to push their children to reach a stage of emotional, physical, mental and spiritual maturity. it's not just the young men's fault that this is the state of things, but the responsibility falls on parents as well

the primary reason men aren't maturing younger is because there's little to no pressure or need to do so, work at a mediocre job and live in a more or less empty house while getting drunk every weekend with your friends is perfectly good enough for most guys and the women really aren't putting any pressure on the guys to get their act together, the women either have impossibly high unattainable standards for most men or are so easy they don't need to do much of anything to get them with very little in-between
