Dude I was hitting trails like that after three weeks of learning how-to mountain bike. Cos of this channel to, once you'd taught me how to preload, break, ride burns, kneel and stand up to the jump I was away. Like a duck to water, a natural at age 49, I'm 50 now. My USA wife reckons I should turn professional, but I ain't interested in that at my age, lol. Great video dudes. God bless you all.

So awesome to see you featuring Sol Mountain Lodge!! I've only ever seen it with 3+ m of snow on the ground so it was cool to see what the actual terrain looks like. The Cooperman's are amazing hosts and the staff and food is always incredible up there. We only started mountain biking a couple years ago but visiting there in the summer is definitely on the list.

The Trails near Sol Mountain Lodge look absolutely amazing! Miles of rock slab features and stunning scenery. Not going to lie I'd be riding round the drop at 20:03, sounds like yourseslf and friends had a great time there, I'm from Scotland and we have a similar feel (although not as big) trail called "Heartbreak Ridge" next to the town of Ballater. Thanks for sharing enjoyed watching! 😁🤙

Was up there for 3 days in 2022, it really is a different place to ride. Infinity is a beautiful trail, and they were building Beyond whilst we were there. Looks like I'll have to go back and ride it.

Going into that ride, I knew the mech was a little off, so it wasn't unexpected haha. We can chalk this one up to laziness. I do have GX Transmission on my e-bike and I think it's perfectly suited for that use case!

@The Loam Ranger I see Ibis HD6 enduro bike but have the dual crown forks which aren’t factory?? What are the forks your running and besides being more rigid what’s the benefit on this bike ?? Cheers 🍻
@TheLoamRanger8 ай бұрын
The fork is the Manitou Dorado. Definitely overkill for this bike, but I wanted to make a super fun park rig and this certainly did the job! I've got it back to a single crown now though.

Instead of removing the seat post it may have been possible to just zip tie it in the closed position. If you aren’t carrying zip ties you may want to start!

In what context would a 180mm single crown fork be under biked for us mere mortals in the bike park? Are you really pushing the stiffness of the single crown to some breaking point and need a dual crown or do you just like the way it looks? They do look sweet.
@TheLoamRanger8 ай бұрын
Ya I wasn’t very clear there, was I. Being supported by Ibis means I was fortunate enough to have the choice between the HD6 and the Ripmo for this trip. For what I was doing in Revy, I would have been a bit underbiked on the Ripmo, but it would have been the perfect bike for Sol!
@mooseindahouse3368 ай бұрын
@@TheLoamRanger The HD6 pedals super well and isn't as sluggish on lower angle trails from what I hear so it sounds like you made the right call. Cheers
