Very good review I’m a big Jeffsy fan Good to see they have kept the allrounderness and it’s still the classic trail bike of bikes I’m used to using the climb/firm switch and have gone for a firmer shock tune in rear and 10mm longer fork 🍴 Good bikes for long rides but still ok for shuttles and park days

I own a 2019 Jeffsy. I run it with a coil shock and Push coil converted pike 150/150 mm, -1° headset, MX/Mullet wheels, flip chip in high position, 165mm cranks for extra clearance. The head angle should be around 64.5° if Im correct. It feels super well balanced for me, very agile and playful while still being able to plow through tech. It's also very versatile, having fun on flowy trails but also being able to do bike park laps and enduro races. I think I will keep on shredding on it for a long time! :)

Great Review, the model you reviewed, core 5, I think YT missed the mark on this one in terms of pricing, they put a $6.5K price on it, but the Capra uncaged is the same price and spec'd with flight attendant susp, carbon wheels and axs reverb dropper, it doesn't make sense for the Jeffsy to be priced in the Uncaged tier without being uncaged spec'd. YT should have just stopped at core 4 and then made a Jeffsy uncaged model for $6.5k and spec'd it accordingly.

It's a really nice bike - wish they had a bit of a nicer build on the aluminum build but that is fairly standard across the brands. @@TheLoamWolf yes I currently have a Stumpjumper Evo and have used all adjustments. Some adjustments I’ve even gone back to after riding previous adjustments. Because if I updated suspension, wheels, Cushcore, stem length etc. All these things effect playfulness or traction along geo adjustments to make so many different combos of balancing performance to pedal feel to dh feel. Some adjustments I didn’t really like at first once I kept riding for an extended period of time I ended up learning to like and start understanding more how they shine in different scenarios. You learn so much. It’s been about 2 years on the Evo now for me and have learned so much. Young-Talent also referred to as YT: The German company that was first to go Direct to Consumer and made 5% profit off their bikes when they were first sold. Direct to Consumer kills local bike shops and with all the big box brands following suit, it will be the demise of MANY bike shops. 4 bike shops in my city closed their doors in 2023 as a result of their suppliers slashing prices and going consumer direct. Sad.
@Alan-75
@Alan-75 3 ай бұрын
Maybe manufacturers should stop being so greedy and lower their prices, plus stop the constant push on carbon frames and 29ers.. £2500 is now classed as budget with frankly a lot of below average parts on..£5/6k is mid range and 8/10k+ is just ridiculous. People go Direct to consumer as you tend to get a better specced bike at a lower price. If the so called big manufacturers specced their bikes better at respectable (ISH) prices they would get more customers and wouldn't be struggling like they are now, plus bike shops would get more custom through bike sales.. I mean Who doesn't want a better specced bike for a lot less money? Direct to consumer will only get bigger unless the industry stops being so greedy.
@johnnyweekend

@Alan-75 The funniest thing about Carbon frames is they're almost 3/4 less expensive to manufacture than aluminum, yet they charge twice as much as aluminum frames. Components are what's gotten so expensive, such as drivetrains, brakes, and suspension. Components are the main reason why bikes are so expensive. I'd rather get a bike at a shop that fits me correctly rather than a bike with better components that feels too small or too big.

YTs are still making bikes and ppl are still buying them? (after all the shite shows of the last years with the QC and warranties); I'd consider owning one only if I would receive one for free. With my own money, no chance.
