These projects are impressive examples of architecture, but I wish there was more focus on accessible, community-based design rather than just luxury and elegance.

"Minimalist apartment" = whole floor penthouse. I loved the "library" that had about 10 books in it.

I normally don't like places like this (high rise apartments) but I enjoyed seeing this space and at times imagining what day to day life would be like there. Also, I would probably enjoy a lot less furniture and instead enjoy the beautiful negative space that this home offers. Thanks for the video!

I mean it's objectively beautiful from a design perspective but holy moly what a boring apartment. Literally zero color other than beige and white.

True, however it could be done intentionally as the city views dominate pretty much every angle of this apartment. All the colour and texture is outside, like ever changing art. Keeping the apartment itself minimal allows the skyline to shine. It’s how I see it anyway.

@@rianobagaskara7487 In fact I did read the title, read the whole thing and even watched the whole video. Labeling something "minimalist" doesn't give it a pass for being lazy design. There's very little contrast of any kind and a boring texture palette, with the walls and the floors being almost exactly the same. Going for minimalist fixtures all around feels weirdly at odds with adding soffits everywhere if they're not there to harbor accent lighting. The rounded white hardware in the kitchen feels reminiscent of basic garage cabinetry from a hardware store. Feels like the designer couldn't make up their mind between rounded or straight corners throughout. Weirdly eclectic mix of floor lamp/ceiling lamp choices that don't mesh. You have a soft, fabric style pendant light over the dining table and then harsh, angular chrome floor lamps in the living area. They don't need to be from the same collection but they feel anachronistic in the part of the house that's supposed to be cohesive. And then why chrome outlet covers? If you're going for minimalism, why would you want to draw attention to the most utilitarian thing in the apartment? Makes no sense.

The apartment looks really nice. I don't know about the views of highways and parking lots though.

Lmao they're not going to bulldoze the city. It's a beautiful city view, which is what you want when you live in a city.
@vinyfiny15 күн бұрын
You're being intentionally obtuse; I'm sure you realize a city is more than highways and parking lots. You'd rather see nature? Great. No need to bring down other options though.

Chill out guys, this space was probably designed following requirements given by the home owner. I'm sure she would've designed it differently. Well executed but so so boring..

What a dull apartment. Honestly, I am so over colourless interiors and the oak-like finishes. Let's move on from this design style please! Bring in colour, depth and texture.

the kitchen & library are very successful, but i find the rest of design ostentatious; gaudy. there's a way to do luxury, but most of this apartment is not it.
