It looks like everyone enjoyed Christmas Day on the Canary Islands! I forget that prawn cocktails are a Christmas tradition in the UK, since there’s nothing like that here in the US. But it looks like it was a pretty tasty Christmas dinner.

A calima is a sand storm brought in on the winds from the Sahara desert, that’s why the sky is that orange colour. It does make the air quality very bad though and would not have helped your colds, sore throats and chests. Dinner looked amazing.

We were in Lanzarote on Boxing Day our first port of call on our christmas cruise on Cunard's ship Queen Anne, although it was windy it was a beautiful day after the weather we had been through from Southampton to get there.

Should of put the yorkshires in a hot oil tin to make them rise, the oil has to be piping oil when you pour mix in . But the dinner looks lovely . Over looking the Calima 🤣 , we had a calima when we were in September 🫣🫣 guys where you are where the campervan are , it's known for doggers 🤣🤣🤣

I’m loving these canary isle vlogs. But… we were on Tenerife a couple of months ago for 9 days. No wind at all besides after dinner /peep. Give south a try, there’s an enormous water park there and I’d love to see you all having a fun time there, it’s a bit like Disney land. Shame sis and I are too likely to drown or break something. Did you know canaries are from the canary isles? Sadly the only one we were aware of was on the way home, in a tree opposite the airport, singing its head off.

Blooming ants. Blooming cockroaches. Hate them both. Downside to tropical climates. The ants can smell sugar at a 100 paces little beggars. Loved the video. The food looked delicious and well done chefs for pulling that off in an unfamiliar kitchen with only one oven. Have to say we gave in a few years ago and now use foil dishes to save on the washing up. Gillian
