Thanks for this watched over 30 + times now 😂. It’s a brilliant explanation and I’ve worked out all the dimensions and done my cut list. I’m having trouble with working out placement of the runners on the cheeks. I know each runner for the drawer needs to be flush with the bottom. Could you explain how to position the runners on the cheeks working on the 25 mm gaps an 10mm at the bottom. Do you just measure 25 mm down and make sure the top of the drawer is on this mark then mark the bottom of the drawer and place the runner above this. I did watch the other video on drawer runners it’s me being thick. Is there an easy way to get that part right. I’ve been going over and over it. Also is the 25 mm and 10mm gaps just based on fingerpull drawers. I was going to step mine back from and maybe put small handles on. I would struggle to cut the finger pull parts out I think. Hope you can help please Ryan 👍

Thank you Martin! That's great to hear! Just remember that I didn't take into account the bottom of the carcass when I divided up the drawer heights etc. I put a note in my video description, just a school boy error on my behalf!

Hi I do a cut out on the cheek/panel to allow for the hing to still fit on the carcass

i want to view videos of people showing wood-working techniques and talking/teaching as they work/create , not watching someone with a marker drawing on a sketch board , , watching this is mind-numbingly boring (this is what/like the math teacher did in school) , , , sorry for the harsh comment , , just being truthful , , haven't watch your last two videos because of this , , , but very much liked your video on the assembly of the mirrored closet , , could have been a little slower with some instructional narrating of what was going on .

He has plenty of videos like that. Woodworking techniques are all good, but if you can't plan the external and internal dimensions of a piece of furniture and the dimensions of any components that will go on/ in it, all your woodworking techniques and creations are going to create a complete mess of wood that isn't going to fix together. The workflow of planning a piece, calculating cut sizes, accounting for cut tolerances and openings, etc is the most important stage. As the old adage goes; fail to plan, plan to fail.

He has many videos showing assembly and woodworking techniques already. Sometimes it is necessary to work through the possible problems before you start work on materials. I for one am very glad of the fine details and clear explanation, and the whiteboard was a necessary evil. Some of us want to really take our knowledge to the next level, I guess some of us don’t.
