I grew my hair out after my time in the military. For a while I ended up cutting it and I felt not like myself. So after surviving a heart attack at age 50, I decided to grow my hair once more, and I feel better about myself because it is the real me. Yea it’s salt and pepper now. It’s amazing how many people will hate it, how many will tell you to get a haircut how many people will ignore you or not want nothing to do with you. That makes me believe there’s a power an energy to long hair because it is real it is a statement I am free and I don’t give Fck what anybody thinks

The native Americans believe that the longer the hair is, the more spiritually connected he/she is to their spiritual side. This video is so ironic for me. I've actually been growing my hair out for little past year now. I essentially grew my hair out for the purpose of seeing myself develop more spiritually and grow as a man. I look back at certain lengths of my hair, and i can see the struggles that I endure, and how I overcame the adversities in my life. It's truly been a journey growing my hair out, and the experiences that come with it are priceless.

+Daniel Salazar Apparently the long hair enhanced there tracking abilities. The US military recruited native americans (forgot when) because of that. So being in the army, you have to get a haircut. So there long hair gets cut and they are unable to track. Think of hair as antennas, the longer the hair, the better the signal.

Wow, really inspirational. I am now in a 5th month of growing hair and it is around 5 inches (my hair grows pretty fast) I finally decided to grow it out again, i had long hair when i was 12 and i cut it when i was 14... now i am 18, my goal is to pull off a man bun haha... Also i am planning to go to Iceland somewhere in 2018 (My biggest dream ever) And it would be cool if i dont cut my hair short until then. Great video !

I decided I was going to do this when I was 24, then I actually left when I was 30. I started saving money early on, and telling people I was going to do it. As the years went on I got very serious about it, and you could say I made a resolution to make the journey. It was the best thing I ever did in my life, you will be happy you did it.

I don't understand what all this short shirred hair is on guys anyway, it's ugly, they all look like they're trying to look like old men and they're only in their 20's, 30' etc. You have hair, grow it out guys, you'll look younger and sexier. And great he traveled the world. I always wanted to but took the college then work path instead and thought I'd travel later in life but you cannot depend on that, for I ended up with MS and was never able to, I'm just glad I'm able to make it to the bathroom. This guy has done it the right way, life is short, take off and explore while you can when you have your health. I didn't and now due to MS never will. You never know what life is going to throw at you, GO explore NOW.

Doesn't matter I could say my hair looks terrible but I'm accepting that it will be hard to grow it out. Now it is really easy to do it, I could care less what other people think, I am who I am and if people don't like it then tough don't speak to me!. It's all about the end result my hair will look amazing as soon as it reaches the shoulder, I want to grow my hair to my lower back and nothing and no one is going to stop me from achieving my goal! That's the mentality you need to grow your hair out. But don't forget to be positive to! Keep growing that hair!
