For those who don't know, NFL is like medieval chess, it's a lot of theory the application of set theory on the field, a lot of thought into plays, routes eg. It's also built for TV. Using lines on field and yellow line representing the next down. It's really cool I advise anyone to learn the rules. You won't regret it

NFL Players are massive when you see them in person. I'm talking about the linemen of course.
@AceManning18 Жыл бұрын
Not just the lineman there are plenty of tight ends linebackers etc who are absolute monsters...even quite a few skill position guys like DK Metcalf and Derrick Henry. Tanks.

Here's some metric conversions on size: George Kittle: 6 ft 4 in / 250 lbs = 193cm / 103.6 kg Khalil Mack: 6 ft 3 in / 269 lbs = 191 cm / 122.3 kg Julio Jones: 6 ft 3 in / 220 lbs = 191 cm / 100 kg Saquon Barkley: 6 ft 0 in / 230 lbs = 183 cm / 104.5 kg Lamar Jackson: 6 ft 2 in / 230 lbs = 188 cm / 104.5 kg Tyreek Hill: 5 ft 10 in / 191 lbs = 178 cm / 87 kg Myles Garrett: 6 ft 4 in / 272 lbs = 193 cm / 123.6 kg DK Metcalf: 6 ft 4 in / 228 lbs = 193cm / 103.6 kg Aaron Donald: 6 ft 1 in / 280 lbs = 185 cm / 127.3 kg Derek Henry: 6 ft 4 in / 250 lbs = 193cm / 103.6 kg But consider this: except for Khalil Mack, Myles Garrett, and Aaron Donald (who is "too small" for his position) These are all considered "Skill Players" and are not the largest players on the field. Consider that the AVERAGE NFL Offensive Tackle is 197cm tall and weighs 144kg If you average all the "Down Linemen" on both sides of the ball - their "average" weight is 142kg and height is 194 cm!

Thanks dude. For those people who are not familiar with the NFL and American weights and measures that is extremely helpful

@@cokesquirrel Your welcome. I spent a career having to convert back and forth in international business. It is hard to grasp the size of these players - just try to imagine, Tyreek Hill - who looks like a very small man in these videos, is 178 cm / 87 kg - that gives you an idea of just how big these guys are.

“…are there no rules!?” 😂 😂 It looks like it sometimes. There is an American football rule called “unnecessary roughness” and you could say the whole game violates it.

I you don't think Tom Brady is a freak of nature, go look at his Draft weigh-in photo, that guy played QB for over 20 years with 7 Championships, endless records in both regular and postseasons, that skinny little guy became a beast and a legend.
@QbanCelli Жыл бұрын
Freak of nature does not mean the strongest. Rather people with so many attributes like speed, jumping, strength etc that they don't seem human.

40 yards = 36.5m. Is the NFL's main measurement of raw top speed. 5.0 seconds and under is blazing fast for a "very athletic" person. 4.5 seconds and under is fast for a "professional" athlete (football or futbol). 4.2 seconds and under is in world class sprinter speed territory. (Usain Bolt ran a 4.22 40yd dash in sweat pants and shoes) I've timed over 2,000 people. Most idiots "think" they can run a 4.6 or 4.7. When they run a 5.2, timed by laser, and I tell them that's actually pretty good, they swear there was a mistake... Every. Single. One. No one breaks 5.0 without having a speed coach at some point to break down your technique.

It's amazing to me a sport I grew up with playing as a kid and so many others play as well that people from other countries watch it and act like someone's being dismembered or flayed in front of their eyes. A bit dramatic if I can be frank. Jesus.
