I forgot to mention, this is a *Lightburn* zip file, so it's cross-platform compatible, and *not* O/S dependent! You can transfer from Windows to Mac, or Mac to Linux, etc. You can even transfer between *different versions of Lightburn!*

@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy oh heck yeah, I'll join! This is very exciting! I have only ever gotten to play with a 65w Co2 laser at school many years ago. I hadn't looked at lasers in a while and got deep into resin and pla printing. I appreciate your insights and time spent! I look forward to chatting in the future!

If both your office and workshop computers are on the same network then remote desktop is, by far, the simplest and best way to control the shop computer from the office. The bundling method you suggest is great for disaster recovery but remote desktop is the best for everyday use.
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy7 ай бұрын
I covered that in another video last year with a few ways to remote into another computer Chuck. I personally use a NAS and a DAS for added protection, plus a keyring flash drive that goes everywhere with me. But the average person doesn't even know what either of those acronyms mean 🤪

Hey Rich did you get your new 70 Watt yet. I have been using my A70 Pro from Atomstack for about a week now and it's a BEAST!. I make little guitar pick holders and my old machine takes about 15 minutes to cut the 3 parts. I can now cut them cleaner and in 3 minutes. It's great machine. If anyone on this channel is looking for a great deal the Atomstack A70 for the price is a great kit. Here in Canada it only cost me about $2200 Cdn and I'll make my money back in just a few short months. Actually my first Atomstack I started out with, the X7 Pro 10 Watt has already paid for my new machine. Love the videos and the way you present. Cheers Steve (Port Alberni Vancouver Island)

Yes, it arrived weeks ago, but the eccentric nut on the gantry was frozen and wouldn't turn, and the module needed to be tightened up. So I'm waiting for a new part.

@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy I screwed mine to post I raised on my table so I have some more height and had to go through the front where the washer for the left belt is and it fell off. You think I could find it! Well I used a washer and pressed it on and it seems to work fine. When you get it up and running it's quite the machine.

My main problem is not moving file, but how i can use lightburn on several pc? I got a code when i bought the program, but stupid as i am i don`t write it down, so no i locked up to only one computer. Is it possible to get this code back in some way?
@TheGuitarman19687 ай бұрын
@stegmater When you originally purchased the Lightburn software, you (hopefully) created an account on the Lightburn website. If so, log into your Lightburn account, and under your account, there will be all of your previous Lightburn purchases. Click on one of the previous "orders," and under those orders should be your license key, which you can copy and paste. Just for reference, under my Lightburn purchases, only the annual $30 "renewals" actually show the license key. The original $60 purchase does not show the key. Your account may be different if you have not purchased any renewals yet. I hope this information helps.😊
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy7 ай бұрын
You can install the software on up to 3 computers without an additional fee. Here's the info page for license management: lightburnsoftware.com/pages/manage-your-license-activations-with-the-license-portal

Well that could not of come at a better time Rich, I was just thinking that when I am at markets I really would like a laptop. and while I am working with someone for a design they want, I can design it there and then, well at least give them a general idea. So I am litterly doing this as I wacth your video 🙂

Well that was a shot lived bit of excitment, did just what you said, export onto usb, then import to other computer, everthing going good. But then I saw the library for a split second, thought ya it worked. But nope it disappeared. so closed lightburn re-opened, tried again. same result..Any ideas?

Do I have to buy multiple copies of Lightburn, one for each computer? Also, I need to watch you video on loading files to your Library. I have files in a bundle do I need to open and save each file in the bundle, or can I load the files all at once to my Art Library?
@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy6 ай бұрын
No Charles, you get 3 computers per license. Art libraries can only save one file at a time.

@TooManyHobbies587 ай бұрын
Would like to know this also. I do my design work on a Windows PC which is not connected to the laser. Use a Mac with a shared folder to send job to the laser. I copy the job from the PC to the networked Mac shared folder to make it easier. I suspect what Rich showed would work fine.

Hi Rich, I have LB1.6 and I tried to export a bundle from 1 machine to import to my other computer. I have followed the steps which are straight forward, how ever when I click Save nothing happens. It allows me to pick where I want it Saved but when I click Save nothing happens. Any ideas?

@ Wow thank you for the quick reply much appreciated. Actually it di what it was supposed to do but I didn’t realize it had. I went back and tried again and I guess because there wasn’t that many file it made the bundle stored it to the thumb drive but I did not get any messages saying it was happening or done so I decided to to look on the thumb drive and there was the zip file. Imported to the other computer and all good. Thanks again Rich and I must say I do enjoy your videos.
