This episode exposed my whole life. From fear of succeeding to fear of enjoying too much. I use to say I'm a late bloomer but the truth is God bloomed me in His time. I got my college degrees starting in my late 30's. I was excited when I got my first one and then the "trolls" hit. The sad part is, since I'm not a public figure I thought my family and friends would be happy. I'm working on another degree and I've kept it a secret because I have got nothing but grief about be getting an education. I have some folks wanting me to push to have my own business but I just can't. If I'm already getting this kind of push back and hate for what I have now (which isn't much of nothing) then I know I'm not build to take that type of leap. I am definitely living the "safe" life.

Actually friends encourage you and kick your butt when you doubt yourself. Maybe there's some people at college you can become friends with, like minded people.
@CaliTxAz48504 жыл бұрын
July baby I’m just at the point I don’t associate with anyone anymore. Seeing that and others things let me know that not everyone is cheering for your success. Most were happy with me being at a different level (below them). But the moment I began to rise, it’s the “why now?” It’s too late.... and other stuff. So I don’t have friends and I’ve separated from my family for the most part.
@kerlinebriceus7644 жыл бұрын
@S.Latrice L. First of all I want to commend you on working on your getting your degrees. You went after what you wanted and that is admirable. I’ve learned over the years that people will project their fears on you and if you’re not aware of this you can find yourself putting your life on hold for people. Be your biggest cheerleader! So whether or not you receive the support/encouragement of others, you’ll move forward regardless. Step out in faith, knowing that God’s got you!
@julybaby85234 жыл бұрын

Ooohhhh Melissa gave such a WORD when talking about how much Chadwick Boseman didn't live like today could be his last but, he lived and thrived in the present. He relished and flourished so heavily, that he impacted so many ppl he will never know. I cried at the fact that he's no longer here and finding out what he was battling, and how he battled thru it AND gave his all. Idk that I've ever respected someone so much. He's always inspired me through his work and interactions with others but, I'm even more inspired by him. And with you guys talking about this topic and about allowing yourself to enjoy life, loving yourself, and living life to the fullest....it just adds on to the push that his story and impact gave me. Thank you Kev and Liss 💕💕

I have watched this maybe three times since yesterday and I really respect when Kevin address Christian being disappointed and how he did the social distancing comedian show. I'm glad he did not dismiss and disregard those people as if they were beneath him but address what the issue was. Cuz I think it's important that we don't dismiss the feelings of what people say and respond in a respectful manner. I think that's more important instead of pumping out your chest and declaring that I don't care what sewing so thanks I'm going to do what I want to do. Because I truly feel if your intention is to please God in every area of your life and also means dealing with disagreeable people in a Godly manner kudos to Kev
