My husband and I watch your videos and it helps us talk through difficult topics that would normally end in one of us shutting down. These videos have given us tools and resources to tools that help us communicate our feelings and what we are trying to actually say. We’ve grown so much. Thank you. We’ve paid a licensed marriage counselor but didn’t make nearly as much progress.

I keep trying to tell my husband to listen to them, because I am Liss and he is Kevin, and I feel like my explanations fly right over his head, but... yeah... I guess I'll just have to sit down with him and listen to it with him.

lilone11586 yes it took my husband a while, then after he finally watched he apologized for taking so long to watch. The book and podcast suggestions that Lis recommends is so good. That screaming in silence video really hit home. Hopefully he will watch with you.

I think what you are doing is good because you don't just cover marriage, you show how you work on yourself. Even though this is about your marriage we learn how men and women view things and how that affect the other person. Thank you 👌👍🏽

i really needed to hear what Kevin said about washing dishes; i just had this conversation with my husband about my love language being acts of service and how him volunteering to iron the kid's clothes or taking out the trash without me asking means everything to me; never made the correlation from that to me initiating sex but it makes total sense; i definitely need to start looking at thing from his perspective

You learn yourself day by day. I have changed sooooo much since I've been married - sex and otherwise!!!! I do not feel that I was stifled because I was a virgin when I got married, because I was willing to learn at the needed pace (lol). However, I'm constantly changing... and I appreciate that my husband and I can evolve together and take the time to understand the changes.

Kev: "This is why I think that some of the stuff that we do for the love hour is so important even if you are not married. The more you know about yourself the more prepared you are for a partner" Me: Exactly!!!!! I have been thinking that since I started watching. This podcast, for me, is a real and Godly example of a marriage but also great marriage prep!! I love that the commentary and tools come from research and experience, not just opinions. May God continue to bless your family, you have surely blessed me and my circle.

We equally share the "jump starting"!!! We cannot be mad long!!!! I am so grateful that we can't let tension linger!! I'm like Kev... it's super hard to remain mad. I explained it like this to my husband last night - we have such a dynamic flow that when one thing is off, not only can we not flow as a unit, but we cannot even flow/function individually. So, since we are so interconnected (by choice and intentionality), we absolutely cannot remain at odds without the potential impact of throwing everything else in our lives off. Sooooo, we opt to aim our hardest to achieve and maintain our flow!!! Sooo amazing!! #MomentumCycle

I just wanna say that at a bout 45:00 Lisa really impressed me I already love her point of view and the clarity she brings to things and at the moment she checked Kevin and acknowledged that they have a "wider audience"(meaning not all couples are heterosexual) I just really felt included in the coverage especially since I'm in a relationship that has all of these emotions intertwined and crossing over where it's not just male vs female it's female vs female with all the extras. idk I dunt usually comment but I really Kent slot having a successful black Christian couple that I look up to include that sentiment. love you guys I will stay loyal to the 95%

How young of kids are we talking? I wasn’t allowed to go to sleepovers & stuff until I was 10. My mom wanted me to be old enough to be able to voice if anything happened. So yeah I would let my 10 year old go. Bey & Jay got more security than a child’s school & summer camp combined. Idk maybe it’s cause I work at a daycare but I view my kids going with them the same as sending them to summer camp with strangers.

I had to come back & say I (not having given birth yet) thought, hmm, Beyonce & Jay-Z with our kids for the summer? IDK, is it structured? Like mogul camp or something? Then I thought, Rihanna & Drake with our kids for the whole summer? Big deep breath. NO. And that's why we're maturing. 😅💜 I hope they never read this.
