Nice vid. I actually just did a blind play through of this and as a long time veteran player of the survival horror genre, this game was very much boring hot garbage for me. It’s very poorly balanced for either play style making hard unplayable and they disguise this with how ridiculously easy they make normal with the zombies having next to no aggression. I had more ammo than I knew what to do with once I got through it cause I spent most my time just skimming right by everyone. It rips off a lot of RE before it starts to develop its own identity what little there is of it. There was also a lot of glaring plot holes with practically no character development. What little character development there is for amnesiac protagonist is completely buried under novels of other text you get from documents you picked up like “show don’t tell” was a forbidden phrase for the devs and Paul might as well have not even existed with as little as he is in this game. Oh and the cherries ontop: you’re most likely gonna get the worst ending the first time, you unlock a professional difficulty and a blatant rip off of RE4’s mercenaries as a bonus game

The fact that this is basically 3 generations of Resident Evil all in one is incredible. The tank mode pays homage to RE 1-3, the OTS mode pays homage to RE 4-6 & the FPS mode pays homage to current RE generation. Whats even more interesting is that the map is slightly bigger in some areas (graveyard is completely different) if you chose to play OTS or FPS modes. Also, the ammo drops rate is higher in those modes as they are more action oriented but longer due to the graveyard area being MUCH larger. OTS & FSP are also easier in the beginning as you can walk backwards while slashing with the knife making it hard for the zombies to get you. I ended up using the knife all the way till I got the shotgun. Had A LOT of handgun ammo which really helped in the later game.

This has to be the most underrated game I have ever played, I absolutely love this style, the Mansion is like an intricate puzzle box. I'm astonished of how much of the right stuff it has. They pretty much nailed every aspect of it

for 3$ you can't really do much wrong. Though I have to admit after playing the full release (and the current version since it seems they changed a lot around with every patch), the game lost its charm after a while :/

it was on sale just recently... and it will be again in time. Have you tried Signalis? A sci fi survival horror that took, gameplay-wise, much inspiration from RE. Another classic series would be Fatal Frame, if you haven't played it already. The first one terrified me like no other game

Oh no, the germans strike again. Another tragedy that could have been prevented! But jokes aside, I have since played the full version... and there's quite a bit more jank to be found. There are some neat ideas in this game, but it got a bit tedious after a while. Do not be led astray by the germanness.

In the middle of the game, this game turns into a total Dark Souls...you will die, after that you wil die again, and than again, again and again! The game is extremely hard on meidum difficulty.

It is definitely worth it!!! Pure survival horror. Not much chit-chat, only isolation and horror...to me, even better than resident evil! Pure darkness...and great story in the very end (if you get the good ending, all is explained)

keine ahnung was Flula Borg ist, aber ich habe eine ganze Weile meine Videos auf deutsch gemacht und wollte mich vor einiger Zeit einfach in eine andere Richtung entwickeln. Der Content, den ich erstelle, ist für eine Zielgruppe die im deutschen Sprachraum nicht so vertreten ist und da ich auch hauptsächlich englische Videos anschaue, hat es nur Sinn gemacht, selber auf englisch zu vertonen. Je länger ich es mache, umso natürlicher wird es auch klingen.

haha... the inventory stuff is something that sells the game for me ^.^ To me, true survival horror needs a tiny inventory and way too many items you have to swap in and out constantly
