🔹️ A lot more expensive in Australia for a decent hamburger, not at a take-away fish & chips shop, but in a pub, restaurant or cafè, $22 to $24 for a hamburger with everything (the lot) on it plus maybe a chips & salad is quite normal & standard.

I think your cow pat is what is in vogue now in the US called smashed burgers. They put the hamburger on the grill then press with all their might with 2 spatulas to "smash" it thin. Well the fries weren't frozen to start but fresh cut but cooked so quickly they weren't properly drained in the rush to serve them. Well that's my opinion on what your meal looked like. Yes I find the shakes too sweet if too much ice cream is used.

Took my daughter to Wendy's the other day, the prices will give me a heart attack before the food does. $10 for a salad and just a little less for a Beef Burger, ended up spending around $22.. She wanted to go to Five Guys but luckily for me I looked at the prices before I left the house, it would of been $40 for the both of us, won't see me eating out much at these prices.

Prices for pretty much everything have gone up and even sky rocketed all over the place. Big Businesses trying to claw back what they lost during the Plague, resulting in poor quality Service/Food etc for a higher cost, which should mean that a lot of these Eateries with high prices will struggle as Customers won't return for piss poor Food and Service at such expensive prices.

I'm with you Lee, I was thinking 3 points myself. The burger is wayyyy thin, its an auto deduction of at least 2 if not 3 points for pink meat. When I saw the amount of sauce on the burger, it reminded me of the amount of sauce Eddie Rockets puts on which I have had to scrape off. I really like skin on chips but I dont like greasy ones. Now I'm thinking of the fab skin on chips from Wow Burger near me.

Crisps are 'chips' in USA and Australia. A tad expensive for an average looking burger, plenty of filling but a bit sloppy. Way too much burger sauce. Burger buns should be toasted to prevent soakage. Fries a bit greasy. Shake good. 6 from me.

I actually like a thinner burger… that’s the way they used to be but everything got “ supersized !” In the last thirty years. Course back then you could have a COUPLE burgers and not blow your budget! Saying that , my Mom used to make ENORMOUS burgers with Worcestershire sauce that she called Sizzle Burgers !

Ohhh you do like setting us a challenge sometimes! A very wet, over sauced burger. Pink in the middle which is a massive NO from me. Thin just like a Five Guys burger but much fresher looking salad. The fried looked a bit limp but I find that a regular trait with skin-on fries. Very difficult this one. 4/10.

Rate my takeaway did a video yesterday of his new shop, the burgers looked soggy like they had been sat in a delivery van for half hour and they were sat out outside. IMO if it’s a thin smash burger like that, they need to make it a double - especially with a fair bit of salad onboard. Otherwise you end up with a salad sandwich with a sliver of meat. I’d stick to Five Guys for my premium burger chain and McDonald’s/BK for a cheaper deal.
