I’m happy the Spanish government is cracking down on the red British tourists though! I’m ashamed to be British myself whenever I’ve been there.

Well I live in blackpool and would like to say Thanks Lee for always being great about the place. If we had the weather it would be fantastic. Benidorm is great as well, never been disappointed. It has everything what you want it to have. Going again in a few weeks and booked again for next year. People I tell to go and do love it!

The people that say it’s like Blackpool in the sun haven’t been to either places recently. There’s something for everyone in Benidorm. Last time I went to Blackpool there were loads of tarmac pavements covered in discarded chewing gum & the place stank of chip oil that needed changing.

Imagine what it’s gonna be like in two weeks when it is the school holidays in England because I guarantee the price you are paying will triple when it is the school holidays as it always does English school break up the end of July usually Friday the 19th and perhaps the following Monday

July and August are dead in the bars and strip in Benidorm compared to the rest of the year, some British bars actually closed and some Entertainers take their holidays! It's because all the hotels are full of families, many in all inclusive stays who don't venture out to the strip. It's a great time to visit if you like brilliant weather and a quieter holiday

Benidorm is literally the worst place I’ve ever been 😅. Definition of brits abroad. I guess if you like it you like it, but for me it was cheap, grubby, overall bad food, no class.. there are so many other nice places along that coastline if that’s where you want to head off to.

i paid less than £500 for my stay in Cala Bona in Majorca from tues - fri this week and that was half board, coach transfer and also a trip to the drach caves, cost about the same as your 2 nights in benidorm and it was 32 degrees on thurs :)

I’ve just got back a week ago. Absolutely loved it. Was there in April also. This time we stayed at Rio park - lovely hotel and the Spanish were off school, was heaving ! But I don’t mind it busy, if you want quiet go menorca etc.

I prefer English seaside towns. They have more character and charm. Benidorm feels soulless to me. Those concrete hotels make the place look sterile and unwelcoming. Be honest, people only go for the monotonous hot weather. Not my thing at all.

I stay at that hotel everytime I go to Benidorm it’s a fantastic hotel and great location. You have to get some food out of the halfway house excellent food in there, also out the hotel and go right the pub that’s on the corner has great prices and great pints

14:00 Comparing Benidorm to Blackpool: Benidorm in this video looks nice. Blackpool in recent videos looks anything but. The buildings and infrastructure in Benidorm look modern, clean, with interesting facades, whereas Blackpool just looks dismal and dilapidated, even when the sun is shining - which doesn't appear to happen often.

I was in Beni 5 years ago for my dads 60th we had a ball was our first time (my parents n sis 6th time in 2019) they go approx twice a year and just love it. I hope to get back again someday. I 100% agree with you deffo not Blackpool in the sun anytime i've heard say that its cos they've not been and also been snooty about it too. I loved the pubs Hotel California & the western bars on the strip spent a lotta time there that week. Only Scottish school hols atm rest of UK still to break up for summer.

Phil & Janice will know what the tapas was called! Actually, head to North Shore or inland to Stanley Park and Blackpool also has some nice quiet spots away from the bustling Golden Mile! With occasional sunshine!
