After the market hours anyone can analyse it like this. For example you could start by telling us how did you know the break out was going to happen after going down 5-6 times. My 2 cents 1. For breakouts (BO), a relatively wide range candle with high volume closing below the S/R in the direction of the BO is a decent entry trigger. This comes with a low R:R which is a tradeoff one has to pay for (somewhat of a) confirmation. 2. If one is waiting for a wide bull candle or a wide bear candle (as mentioned in 1), the probability of a false BO decreases. I would run the numbers on an instrument (on 1H and higher) to see what the new % of wins are. But, if a false break *does* happen, that sets up as a *very* high probability trade to the other end of the range (capitalizing on all the trapped BO traders) 3. Yes, but again, with the tradeoff of a low R:R As you mentioned, price tends to reverse more often than BO at range boundaries. So a safer assumption at range edges is that price will, in fact, mean revert. So playing for a move to the other end of the range (especially if there is a false BO) is a better and higher probability play (looking at the PA of course) than a BO trade. If one *has* to play the BO, don't play the BO directly, but wait until the first impulsive move is done and for the price to correct back to the BO point (which acts as a good S/R. Incidentially, this also will typically be the VPOC/HVN zone of the consolidation cluster before the BO). This has a better probability of working out than a direct BO trade and offers a *much* better R:R as well. Disclaimer: Not a hotshot trader. Just a learner and these are some of my observations.

What i understood from your question is..suppose you have drawn a trendline based on daily candlestick and drawn a pattern by joining candle top and bottom..and if then you chamge your time frame from daily to suppose hourly candle stick..so you will have to again reset your trendline..and then check again if you can get a breakout..so just by changing time frame you wont get breakout..you will have to adjust yoyr trendline again and then check..i hope i gave a fairly correct answer to your question

@@BinguTOP98 You can wait for a strong green candle near immediate support during pullback from where it started moving upwards. Every trader has his own way of taking a trade. For example you can wait for a green candle closing at the lower swing of pullback. And take entry on the next day when it crosses the high of previous day green candle and can decide stoploss as Low of that candle. I take even smaller stoploss on a 15min time frame. It depends how you wanna do it. It takes time and practice to narrow down a trading strategy.

I may comment that though channels should not be steep in general, it is observed that for having minimum stop loss to greater reward ratio, it’s ideal that the trend or channel line must intersect support and resistance zones also, in which case the channel or trend lines could be steep- eg for head and shoulders pattern together with resistance zone and a bearish engulfing candle/RSI at overbought zone !

max profit and safe profit you can book is the channel length. see the support price and resisitance price in the channel ex: the stock is taking support at 100rs and resistance at 110rs. so the difference btw two is 10rs. so after channel breakout you can keep your target up to 10 points. suppose if it breaksout at 110 you can book at 120.

When you explain about any share, please don't forget to mention the time frame within which the trade call was taken and executed. Without that it's difficult to follow. And also please mention the time frame within which you are drawing the 'channel' pattern. Since in Mobile the view is not very clear; it will be better to start the narrative with time frame. Whether it's daily or weekly or monthly trade or trade on long term.

i have one doubt. You draw trendlines. Do you buy at trendline support? What if breaks the trendline support? Where to keep SL?And should we sell at upper part of the channel or wait for the breakout of the channel?
