What a lovely idea, its awesome. You could use another frame the same size as the top one and glue it to the bottom, so the bottom matches the top. Just pop your candle inside, would look wonderful with sprig of Holly and small gold Xmas tree baubles, a nice centre piece for table..'.. very festive. Xxxx

I couldn’t use bifocals either. Then I got progressive lens which is no lines, and I haven’t had a problem since👍 I’m also going to try this DIY; you have such creative ideas! I love your lantern but I might try some type of a Decorative knob on the top.

Wadded-up strand a firefly LEDs suspended or inside of a mason jar. RGB ones are really neat especially with mirror tint on a couple of the panels

Double the frames to make a taller one. Add the mirror candle holder at bottom in place of cardboard. I always wanted these but were do expensive. Nice.

I made one of these, but I used some of the white metal easels they have at Dollar Tree and made hinges so one of the sides opens and I used a plain piece of glass for a bottom with contact paper over it I wish I had thought of a mirror

I tried this, but they all fell apart, so, before I used the glue gun, I used E600. Worked great.

Hi Ellen! I also found out Gorilla Glue makes glue sticks for the hot glue gun, and it's very strong! I use E6000 on everything I need to stay together, but it needs to cure for several hours at a minimum. So using both a hot glue gun AND E6000 would be great if you don't want to wait for the E6000 to set up. Hope this helps for future projects! 😊

Love this idea.. I like printing pictures on vellum so I think doing that, inserting them into the frames and the use a battery operated candle inside would make a nice display too..your ideas are wonderful.
