yeah i'm myself a scandi fan and following magnus approach thought he was human until the last 8 seconds where he just converted a holding-worst engame into checkmate XD

Jesus that ending. his position wasn't good enough to justify that carnage, but when he decides to speed up the universe just bends around him and opponents start blundering like they're the ones in time trouble and not him. if she could have kept a cool head that was not his game to win, but he does this to almost anyone who manages to hold a decent position to the last ten seconds - 90% of the time it goes like this. can't blame them; he does it to almost everyone

well she was also low on time magnus was just lower but his brain has got the pattern recognition, so he sees the good moves in an instant whereas less strong players need to think, so for them the same amount of time feels alot less than for magnus

If she would’ve been playing anybody else, she would’ve won this game, but since she’s playing Magnus, she got nervous & collapsed. That’s the advantage of being higher rated (especially, World #1 in Classical)

I hate playing scandinavian defense. I always feel like i'm behind, getting bullied. When i play as white, i absolutely love when my opponent plays scandinavian... That was a good lesson from the best.

I guess if Ra1 you have Qb4. so what if Bxa3 Bxf6? is that end pawn really worth doubling your f pawns and opening your king? I don't know.

@@jedinxf7 my reasoning is that the queen side pawns will be weak and you will be able to storm the queen side with the conmected pawns in the endgame. I think with perfect play the kingside pawns will be able to be defended. It is hard to say though
