It's a new T8 string, and you CAN argue that the 2nd hit isn't that intuitively high-looking... but yeah still weird. Also he punished b42 like once after blocking it like 6 times

Loving this update. Got Kaz to Fujin for the first time today which im pretty proud of. Hasnt went well so far though, Ive fought 2 Hwoarangs, a Ling, a Zafina and a Jun as a blue rank. 3 beat me in Bo3 and two plugged when losing... Theyre so boned when I finally stop being lazy and lab them properly - which will totally happen very very soon, honest guv.

@@NutraliteZ he was trying to catch SWE out by just raw rage arting instead of even waiting or reacting for a single frame. Using raw rage arts is a bad habit in the first place, using them when they aren't guaranteed is a really bad way to lose matches. I just hit flame ruler myself with claudio and the only time I ever rage art is after a juggle combo because it's just not worth it any other time because of how close my matches are sometimes. You could use the arguement they're the same thing, but predicting that he would have attacked to finish and going for it vs a read which you reacted to any move coming out. It's alittle pedantic yeah, but I just get so upset when I See people still trying to raw super. It works in lower ranks because people wanna press buttons, but as you go up its just not worth the risk at that point. In my opinion. Feel free to flame.

You can't do the new double electric staple on yoshi for some reason. EWGF ×2, b 2,2, df 1 df 2... Edit: Maybe I just suck, but I can do it 100% of the time on other characters. Also it works if you only do a regular wind god fist.

That yoshi was playing very clean and honest, 0 spamming and knew what he was doing, a lot of red ranks in the chat meatriding, go lab him ffs he is not zafina, you encounter him often online

The fact that he is not as unpopular does not make him an honest character. "Just lab him" you make it sound so easy when its one of the most complicated matchups in the game with a huge variety of player created setups that require very specific knowledge to defend against. And he still just straight up has some very dumb shit.

@avoidthevo1d he has many reactable moves, doesn't rely on strings, you can pretty easily tell his moves apart, doesn't have a ton of evasion, all his unblockables are reactable, doesn't have good WS punishment except i15, most of his lows are launch punishable, his 2 plus frame moves put him into stances which limits your options and making an inexperienced yoshi predictable You can make a point that he has more damage than he should, and I would agree, but that's it. Also I never said labbing a character was easy but figuring yoshis basic moves out is not that hard, 95% of the chat won't even react duck to b2,2 or 3,1, not to mention they are probably not respecting at all. Look at his options from his stances, and you'll realise he is not your typical rushdown spammy character, you just never bothered to try and actually figure him out, as if tmm rushing someone down with cd1+2 into oki into 50-50 into wall combo for 80% of their hp is in any way more fair. And just to be clear, I'm not complaining about kazuya being op. I'm not downplaying yoshi, he is a strong as ever in tekken 8, but holy fk do people like to complain while putting 0 effort.

@@alexdano96 The thing is, half of the "reactable" stuff is barely reactable since its a mixup, like the unblockable low sweep. Yoshi can choose to do a kid option instead, and sometimes hopkicks tend to also whiff when trying to punish the sweep. The 3,1 string being duckable isnt such a problem because of the threat of 3,2,1+2 which is straight up unseeable and if you even try to duck the string to duck the 3,1 then you are getting hit for pretty big damage. The sole threat of 3,2,1+2 string makes trying to duck 3,1 incredibly risky. And Yoshi has evasion on a decent amount of his moves whether it was intended or not. Also the existence of his flash mitigates the problem of not having many plus on block options since pressing even on your turn can get you killed because the flash breaks any framedata stuff you would usually have in mind. And yeah, instead of being the typical rushdown spammy character, he ends up being the unorthodox one throwing an incredible amount of weird and uniquely strong options that require very specific knowledge to counter. Yoshi can in fact go unga bunga on you successfully even in the higher levels of play, even though there are more players playing Yoshi compared to Zafina and Raven. Zafina and Raven are really annoying too in a similar way, but that's a whole another topic to discuss

Before TMM makes a video about Claudio and does his usual thing, I just wanna say that 3,2 is duckable on the 2nd hit, although the timing needs some getting used to cause the window isnt that huge, think King's f2,1 as an example with similar duck timing, people know the 2nd hit is duckable but it's kinda hard to do it on demand unless you're a cracked player lol(and in King's case he does have f2,d1,2 so yeah its scary to duck that one either way)

I dont really agree his combo Damage is decent but only from the right launchers and his tech trap takes like forever you could never throw this out in the neutral only if they block 1+2,2 you can jab him out or spring kick and some people even just rolled and they got away

Funny how the rest of the cast can still get like 70-80% of ur hp off a launch and to the wall but they felt the need to nerf Leo's wall combo when he doesn't even have a high pick rate or win rate, that was like the only really good thing he had was the wall combo and they nerf all the routes by a lot, but yea lets just buff Alisa and yoshi and call it a day lol. Least Kazuya is fun to watch again

Hello MMS, id like to drop some thoughts. I have been only playing PSP Tekken 6 fir years now because my PC cant run Tekken 7 (and i cant find a PS3 imulator). I main Paul and Kazuya and have both of them on Tekken God. I played Tekken 8 today for the first time on an internet caffee and my god was it amazing. Kazuya was so good i wanted him to -> -> 2 me. If i new how to perform some more news (and if i actually owned the game) id hit rank. Anyways to wrap it out here, love your vids you made me love Tekken again

Victor is literally the strongest he's ever been, but don't tell anyone or they'll pick him back up. He just doesn't spam two moves any more. Instead he gets insane frames and some of, if not the best, wall travel in the game. Oh yeah, and they gave him a teleport this patch.

That whole mindset of not wanting to deal with the character you will Continue to get blown out Your Blatant ignorance is what holds everyone back .

Jab check,b1,2 for punish Df2, and if they jab check you constantly f1+2, or 1,1,2 or b1,2 Df 1,4 into oki,ewgf on block is good , an occasional power crush with f 2 can be useful but range is ass, heat burst in neutral. Mix up Pokes more so they respect you.
