I know people hate Akuma and Geese for their balancing, but everytime I watch someone super good playing them in tournaments I love it. I gotta give it to the Tekken team for how much detail went into their unique mechanics to make them faithful to their source games. I think they are definitely some of the coolest guest characters in any fighting game.

@@kain1144 not really man, Once you learn their match up, they actually fit quite fine in the game. You can see this now that a lot of tournament players know the match up to akuma (Pakistani players mostly) that akuma is not that broken anymore. Same goes for geese

His d2 is 12 frames, the best mid tool in the game is 13 frames (generic df1) Akuma launches you for using -10 moves with his jab and -12 lows are launch punishable Vs him.. Some of very best players in the world find him broken knee, channel and I totally can see why.. I don't mind that much geese but o do think he's 2nd character in the game rn

People thinking that Knee losing to Meo-Il is somehow a sign of Knee's weakness just don't know what they are talking about. Meo-Il has been a powerhouse in the KR scene for years now, he's won several many KR domestic tournaments he just doesn't travel for tournaments a lot so people think he isn't a strong player. Meo-Il also recently beat Chikurin to cement his position as one of the best if not the best Geese in the world. Meo-Il is a god, other more well known players like CBM and LowHigh considers Meo-Il to be their equals in skill and they are frequently practice partners for each other. Knee losing here just means that Meo-Il had a slightly better day, but it's also a testament to how far you can go as a character loyalist and specialist like Meo-Il is. Lidia is still a pretty overpowered character, at least according to Knee and Aslan Ash and many other pros, but on this day Meo-Il triumphed with his character's mastery. Also, let's not kid ourselves, Geese is at least top 5, which is still very competitive even if Lidia is top 1.

And thats the “reason” for DLC characters being strong. Its a way to monetize character restricted tournaments. Hopefully, the money will translate into a dope ass tekken 8. Lowhigh is missing at theses ATL tournaments. I would say Lowhigh is the best Korean player right now. Unfortunately Lowhigh has this personal problem at the moment. Gen and Chikurin also have been wrecking knee at individual tournaments. Jdcr did win the biggest tournament at Korea last year the ATL final. JDCR also won Korea online master recently. Knee placed 8th at Korean online master.

Akuma might stay aswell for story related purposes, since we still don't know what his relationship to Kazumi was like, and all we know, is that she saved his life, and judging by the special fight at the end, we don't know whether Kazuya or Akuma survived (They most likely did, and I don't think Akuma will stop till Kazuya is dead), so he is most likely coming back.

Idk if I don't know Lidia moves but she seems really strong as far as plus frames had no Idea when to attack but I like the character a lot and seems like every attack is a mid or a low hard to deal with and those hell sweeps super fast with no real movement indicators just bam

She is not as strong as they claim her to be, she is just very good at tourny right now because nobody knows the matchup, she has a strong early presence but in longer sets you realise how to beat her. Her cons are basically that almost every move is very linear, besides her db2 and a few stance moves. Alot of her moves are highs, and the moves that put her + on block are high and not fast. You can also punish her out of her second stance EVERYTIME with a move betweeen 10 and 20 frames, that's gauranteed launchers!! When she switches to second stance she is -5 and all of her stance moves are above 15-16 frames. Hellsweeps are cleanhit only.

Periods and commas are nice. But In all seriousness, Lydia's a solid character. If you play with her or against her and long sets you start to see the holes in our game and her stance pressure is not that scary, especially if you have a parry.

Every second player in Pakistan uses akuma, every tournament in Europe is won by super akouma, jab full combos.. Only execution prevents akuma from total domination.. I wonder if Knee stretched himself a little too thin with trying to get all characters to Max rank. Having to do the best possible online with so many different styles of play and movesets is a shit ton of memorization and switching, and now using Lidia who is still very new and no way he is anywhere as familiar with her as the older characters or his old Mains. If he's playing unusually and ending up in this position despite saying Lidia is top tier for tournaments in a setting like this...either he may be incorrect about Lidia or...just stretched himself too thin I would think.

This is what i have been saying all along...🤦 U can be the best player in the world but if your opponent is someone like Geese, u don't stand a chance. This is the most disguisting, dishonorable shit in Tekken. Knee had that post where he said he hoped 2d wouldn't be in tekken anymore, i can't imagine the frustration Knee felt after this match. It must have felt horrible. And i say when u play Geese or Akuma, u bassically "cheat". How can beating Knee, who is one of the greatest in the world, with Geese be called an achievement? If i was the Geese player i would let Knee win, right after the moment it would be obvious i would win, i would just drop a combo and let my controller down, just to prove a point and make a statement that Geese and such idiotic characters should NOT be in tekken the way they are, and actually show what honor looks like. Hopefully people would start talking about this and say - " hey harada! Do something about this! This is not tekken."But that is just me "crying" about this...
