its more of a mind game , u can interupt it with a mid or a hopkick , but maybe he'll do a couple dashes then back to see what u will do , so its up to you to interupt or guess his 50/50

Because every wavedash could be an electric that launches you for half of your life. If you mistime your attack kazuya smokes you, so often wavedashing in someone's face can get them to freeze up a little

It’s a counter hit launcher in both games but in t8 it’s safe because it’s not a natural string anymore however in t7 it’s a 12 frame punish -10 and counter hit launches

I think you have to press forward after the wavedash to cancel it before you do df1 2. Im new to tekken 8 and was struggling with that as well but I'll try it more when I play again.
