From the construction photos Arendelle is really looking like a one to one recreation on the Hong Kong version.
@themainstreetnews19 күн бұрын
There’s several differences, Paris’ Arendelle Village has a larger footprint and more buildings + a M&G location behind the castle that’ll make it feel as if you’re inside it while meeting characters. The mountain range is also larger and more themed from several angles, to work with the different layout of the park. However, it’s pretty much the same thing adapted to the park (or is HK’s adapted to their park?).

I think there’s a small chance this soft opens at the end of the year. The Toy Story path has already had a budget cut with no meet n greet area to the left of the main path. After Lion King expansion my prediction would be they demolish Route 66 and build another new exclusive land to Paris. However I also think they need to demolish the stunt show area asap! It’s going to be a massive eye sore if they don’t.
@themainstreetnews22 күн бұрын
If we look at the models showcased at D23, Toy Story does not have the M&G location, it appears they used (yet another, looking at you lion king) outdated concept art. When it comes to the Arena, with LK done it should be hidden from all around the lake + with the help of a berm and trees from the rest of the expansion site.

I think it is a good thing that Disney has woken up and makes investments towards its parisian resort. While you often hear that europe is in economic trouble, the themepark industry is still in a good spot. Unless you are living on a rainy island above the channel. While the first park seems to be in a good spot despite the lack of investments. Or if you have a negative opinion towards Bob Igers management involving its themeparks, then you are probably quite happy that he ignores DLP. The second park needs investment. While the attendence is still amazing for an european themepark, the actual quality of the park is left to be desired. If you see a ranking video of the best european themeparks, you see this park rarely at the top. Therefore this park doesn't need rides that reinvent the wheel, just solid additions that closes the gap between the two parks. Frozen may be a cloned ride from HK, but I don't think there is much overlap between the target audience between these two parks. Also let it go in french? Why not. Also the lion king isa log flume. A simple straightforward idea. Log flumes are a proven ride concept and the lion king is not difficult to adapt to a log flume ride. You have the stampede and the final confrontation as drops and the rest shouldn't be so difficult. Disney should avoid wasting the budget in these advanced animatronics found in american parks instead investing in the atmosphere. Then we have a winner.

But don't want it to be 'half' of an experience because so much is under construction.
@themainstreetnews19 күн бұрын
A trip to Disney is always an incredible time, however I completely understand your question. Currently, there's a lot of construction happening but nearly every attraction is open and so are most shows, in both the parks. The construction mainly takes away from the atmosphere of the parks, especially Studios, but doesn't affect the rides themselves. Now, if we're talking about a trip that won't be happen again for a long time, I would say waiting for Summer 2026 would be your best option because by then Studios will have gotten its major expansion with all you saw in the video. Construction will still be happening, in Village for example, but it'll be a much better overall experience! If you still want to visit this year, I'd recommend doing so in the second half of the summer as a part of construction in Studios will be done (none of the expansion side, just World Premiere and World Premiere Plaza as seen in the video) and the Disney Music Festival Season will be happening in the Disneyland Park!

By then, the Big Thunder Mountain refurbishment should be done (Disney said it'll be until the summer), the Walt Disney Studios entrance with World Premiere and World Premiere Plaza will be complete and so should be some of the works on Disney Village, however others would've started. @@themainstreetnews - The replicating seems to be something from the Chapek era. The original concept art for the Disney Adventure World expansion, compared to the current version which is being built, is completely different.
